Pretty sure it's going to be in the movie, all of the music you'll hear from the trailers is in the soundtrack.

I'm disappointed in the 6 tracks, a little bit. This is Daft Punk. Everything sounds so tame and slow and.............dull. If this is how they're going to sound then anyone could have jumped onboard to create the soundtrack.

believe me when i say 'i hear ya' because i LOVE Daft Punk, especially their more upbeat tracks (One More Time, Around the World, Technologic) so i was looking forward to hearing more of that style........but i'm also trying to keep in mind that...

1) they're making music for a MOVIE, so they need to cater their sounds accordingly. bumping music while Clu 2.0 is trying to have an intimate conversation with Sam wouldn't exactly fit very well and...

2) i'm sure the action will have more fast paced music. note how, in the teaser, the music was mellow when Sam discovered the secret room but as the trailer showed more exciting footage the music reflected the footage (started getting a harder beat and classic Daft Punk sound).

...so while i'll agree that the music we've heard thus far is slow and pretty tame (i don't think it sounds DULL though), i'll also say that i'm really digging what i've heard so far (the mood is perfect for a Tron movie) and that i'm hoping to get a more classic Daft Punk sound from the action scenes. at the very least when Daft Punk makes their cameo they should play some music that's 100% Daft Punk.

They seem to be eschewing the darker vibe of 2005's forgettable "Human After All" album in favor of the more poppy "Discovery" stuff.

HNNNNK. Comments like these make me feel so alone in my love of Human After All. I've been a Daft fan since the beginning and I still absolutely loved HAA. One of my favourite albums of all time (kanye: OF. ALL. TIIIIME.).


On a more relevant note, all of the legit tracks of theirs that have been posted so far sound amazing, can't wait to pick up the album(s) and especially can't wait for them to start touring again.

Agreed, Human After All's my favorite album of theirs. My cousin, lucky bastard that he is, saw them live in Paris about three years ago. They aint no Aphex Twin, but I've always enjoyed their music; I can put it on whenever and enjoy it.

I think I heard some synth. Getting somewhat of an 80's vibe from this music.

Can't wait for this soundtrack!
