One thing I've just realised, and this is probably just me, is that I love the fact that it's coming out in december as opposed to being a big summer blockbuster. I dunno, something about going the cinema on a cold and dark night as opposed to it being warm and sunny that just kinda fits with the look of the movie.

Think of it - you come out of the cinema after being in the TRON world and you're greeted by the backdrop of the night and the neon of the streetlights and signs.

Yeah, I think of how the Lord of the Rings films were released every Christmas time every year for 3 years and I remember that they were treated like real events. It was great having something to look forward to when you're off work and you've received money from relatives as presents. It's definately a period that a really big movie can take advantage of, especially, as you say, when the summer is already packed with blockbusters. Surely it's better for the audience (and the studious) to have these things spread throughout the year rather than squeezed into a small period as not everyone is going to go to all the movies if theyre all competing with one another (?)

Off topic here but it's a shame that one of the conditions for Marvel was that they are only allowed to release movies during the summer as they could benefit from this. They could have a movie in the summer and a movie in the winter. Actually, saying that - now that Disney own them, does that stipulation still stand?

I've never seen Tron nor do I have much desire to see Tron Legacy unless someone pays for me or a date wants to see it but I gotta say I love the music in the trailers that I see every time I go see Inception in IMAX. Every time I hear it I think the speakers are gonna blow from how loud it gets

They already confirmed that they had nothing to do with the Tron Legacy Advertising Campaign

the music for this sounds truly epic, i can't wait to hear it in theaters. I haven't really been following this movie outside of watching the first trailer, although I'm really excited to see this. One question though, is there going to be any mention of Sarx or the MCP from the original?
