well i am sure it will probably be leaked online before its offically online.

By the way, i've been reading general comment from people (online) about 3D, and it is it, or is this 3D backlash getting really silly? People are overexgerating this new '3D' takeover, and being overly dramatic about it.

I seriously read that a guy will boycott any movie being release in 3D. I mean, he still has the option to see movies in 2D. I'm not a big fan of 3D but by all means, it doesn't mean it's ruining movies because its' not mandatory.

it is mandatory...

there are no 2d midnight showings of alice... you are forced toeither see it in liemax or 3d...

so yes its freakin annoying, not to mention alot of the scenes in alice were disgusting because the glasses darkened everything. for example the scene where she falls down the hoole and is in the room with the potion.

imagine a dark movie like tron... screw that

plus normal ticket prices are 9$...3d is for some reason 12$... and they have the audacity to ask you to return the glasses to them "keep it green." my ass

3d needs to vanish. lol

3d needs to vanish. lol

:whatever:

Bad 3D needs to vanish, or better yet, evolve. But that depends on the studios and film makers. You don't like it, don't go see it. When the movie falls short, the studios will see the error of their ways.

3D is the next step, the A movie moved that. Studios just need to catch on to what made the A movie more appealing to the masses, and it certainly wasn't post production 3D processing.

There was a 2D showing in my area but it was about 20 miles farther than my nearest theatre so I decided to just see it in 3D.

oh and heres another photo from the trailer

i have a feeling that 80% of people who complain about the 3D on the internet still see it in 3D at the end of the day.so the studio wins.

but at the end when the studios starts only using the cheap 3D ......................................... we all ( the group who likes 3D and the group who doesnt) lose :csad:

i'm actually more stoked for the soundtrack, lol. it better be on vinyl!

Tron + Daft Punk = Perfection

Throw in some boobs and you have the best movie ever!

For people who saw it in front of Alice, did they play it twice in a row or was that just my theater?

I just saw the trailer in 3D

MIND = BLOWN!

The trailer is thrilling in 3D. I've never seen the first film (yeah) and it still has looks amazing :D

I will definitely watch it before seeing Legacy

I just wanted to warn you that the only good thing about the original movie is the special effects. The storyline is pretty weak but, it's still worth watching for the CGI.

Yeah, the first film is definitely only average. The reason it's developed into such a cult classic is because of the ideas in the film and the nostalgic special effects. Other than that (oh, and Jeff Bridges), there's not much going on in terms of story or character. Which is why this sequel will probably be infinitely better.

I think the main problem with the first movie was the pacing. it was very off, and sometimes, it lacks any sort of energy even when you're in Tron.

I love slow movies if they work well but for a movie like Tron, it was a movie with good intentions with awesome visuals. Like what Darkknight88 said, the special effects were ahead of its time so that's why it's big amongst geeks.

So I too feel like the sequel will be better.

I totally agree. I personally thought David Warner's performace was good but, I'm also a big fan of his. I'm disappointed that he won't be in the sequel. Jeff Bridges was also decent in Tron and Bruce Boxleitner was okay but, I've always viewed him as a television actor who was never able to successfully make the transition to film. I never got into Babylon 5 but, I thought Bruce was good in Scarecrow and Mrs. King.

yeah very true... a world that cool shouldnt be so slow

I actually hope the pace of this movie is slow. Not Tron slow, but not Baysplotion fast. Just good, solid deliberate pacing broken up with ass-kicking, Baysplotion action (with at least 50% less Bay).
