I think CGI Bridges looks amazing, it's only a little bit off in that one shot.

well here is a side by side comparison

the shape of the face is 100% the same. the modelers spend months looking young Bridges from every angle.

the problem is only the animation.

Bridges looks fantastic. If you can find a CGI face that looks better in any other film, please, do share. Otherwise, stop being so nitpicky and ungrateful. You should all be ****ing at how good everything looks and sounds from this movie.

Of course his face doesn't look perfect, but it's 90% there. This is the best we have at this moment in time, and guess what people???

Looks pretty good IMO. A bit fatter than he was in TRON, but isn't this Clu a slightly older version of Bridges than he was in TRON? After all, he was a famous businessman and a father before he disappeared.

Those two shots are my two favorite shots of young Bridges so far. I do think it's mainly the animation that makes it feel off. One problem I have as well is that he has Jeff Bridges' older voice. Which can't be helped (I guess they could have gotten a voice actor to imitate him but they probably wanted to keep Jeff Bridges' presence as much as possible), but it does make the speaking feel a bit more unnatural. To me at least.

exactly, I showed the new trailer to a couple of people that werent aware of this movie and they said it looks great, then I told them about the CGI Jeff Bridges and they were amazed.
I dont have a problem with CGI Jeff Bridges, like I said it looks fine to me.

While I don't mind young Jeff, I think people are too..absolute about it. I think it looks good but it's off, but then you got people are gun-ho about it, saying that it's crap then you have another group saying there's nothing wrong with it.

Totally the effects for young flynn/clu are fine. Plus we have to remember the tech they are using to do this is still fairly new method. So its going to take time to be totally real looking. For me I still think its great work.

I think somewhere in the middle is where most everyone is. Then you have the weird outliers like the guy who says it looks like garbage and the other guy who thinks it's indistinguishable form real life.

I'm in the middle too. I probably will keep an eye on it when I watch the actual film because I know it's CGI. But on the other hand, I'm impressed they made it look as good as they did.

I had no idea that they were still using cgi, on the slightly older version of brad pitt, but they were. Its fantastic.

One problem is that it's a lot easier to make a young man look older rather then vice versa.

Picked up the Kevin Flynn Diecast Light Cycle. Hoping to get the deluxe one later, but MAN these tron toys are freaking AMAZING compared to the originals!
The more I think about it it'd be a total waste not to start a comic based on the movies. I mean Tron could be easily done at Marvel.

They may as well rate this thing PG or PG-13 already for sci-fi action violence or whatever they're gonna label it as. I remember they didn't give one movie a rating until like a week before it opened.
