I think the more skepticism and cynicism is given to the movie the more powerful it grows.

That's why Cars is getting a sequel. My 5 year old nephew is a huge Cars fans all these years. They keep making more and more toys a new line every year. Last year were hologram eyes on the cars. Now with the new Cars 2 movie, we'll go broke!

Difference is Cars made $244 million stateside and got good reviews.

But there is little difference in how both their ancillaries sold/selling outstandingly.

The Tron: Legacy soundtrack has been selling like hot cakes and other merchandising is selling terrifically as well.

Good reviews have nothing to do with how much you make in merchandising. Transformers 1 and ROTF are living proof of that.

Hasbro sold a ton along with the soundtrack which had Linkin Park and whatnot.

Kids buy these like crazy or rather their parents do for them.

I thought the movie was insane! 9/10. Only problem I had was not having Tron in it more to see his inner battle to fight for Flynn or Clu. He just changed sides in a matter of seconds. I thought the visuals were spectacular! The music was superb. Reminded me of when I saw 300 in the theater. The power of the score just made me wanna jump right into the action.

My friend went to Peru for Christmas and brought me back a bootleg DVD. The Spanish subtitles are laughable.

"My favorite is Jules Verne" ---> "My favorite is Charlie Brown."

"Hey, Flynn!" --> "Hey, Fred!"





I liked it better on the second viewing but the action is still so downhill after he escapes the games.

finally watched it! really enjoyed it but some of the acting plus the story pulled it down a little. And just when action scenes were getting good, they were cut short. Still awesome though. And on a final thought I wish they had kept the old sound fx for the cycle sequence.

need to see this again. All I can think about is the amazing Tron Grid!
I don't know how people can complain. This movie is pure escapism, absolutely awesome.

People have been fed on so much crap in the last 10 years, they fail to see some good old escapisma and sci fi fantasy. Tron Legacy is bloody awesome.

Bring on the sequel.

look at the editing and pacing in Inception and then in Tron. in a way i understand why the general public is not going back so much for Tron.

the story and editing is not for the general public.
