Turtles forever

I loved the lines in the movie.

Leo: "You don't understand, the Utrom Shredder isn't like your Shredder. He's vicious.
Don: "Lethal."
Mikey: "Competent!"

LMAO. Incompetent villains were such a staple of 80's cartoons. :D

Krang: You're not the only one with a molecular amplification suit!
Utrom Shredder: Yes, but mine ACTUALLY WORKS!

The 4th wall stuff was great too.

Han: Forget the Shredder! You're gonna pay for what you've done to me!
80's Raph: *talks to audience* Some people just can't handle change.
Han: *looks to the screen* Why do you keep doing that?! Who are you talking to?! There's no one there!

I cracked up at Krang's involuntary croaks and burps like from the original show. I used to imitate the hell out of that back in the day.

I totally forgot about that. I was like "Why the hell does he keep burping?!". o_O

It is on Youtube now for those that missed it. You know what to search for, but just go to the newest clips available and...you know the rest.

Yeah, my mistake.

Torrents are also already up.

4Kids is uploading the movie to their site, which includes the 12 minutes that were cut, in December.

12 minutes cut?! :cmad: So, when will this be out on DVD?

12 minutes cut!? :wow:

I want the DVD nau. Or Blu-Ray, if they'll grace us with one.

I liked the movie, but the bashing of the `87 series was overdone. A joke or two would have been fine but they went overboard. It got annoying. If anything, the jokes during the Mirage Comics part were better. From, "why is he narrating" to Shredder being defeated in a few seconds, it was all hilarious.

I thought this movie was pretty f'n good. Having said that, I agree that they really overdid the humor on the 87' Turtles. Granted they've always been silly but this was just ridiculous. Leonardo was never as goofy as the other 3 in the old cartoon.

When Leo, Mike and Raph hugged 2k3 Raph after he saved them, that was really overkill.

I did like however that they showed that the 87' Turtles wearn't complete dorks and could hold their own with the 2k3 versions when it came to their fighting skills.

I think they kind of went "Family Guy" on the 1980s Turtles with the gags as well. You watch some of the older episodes, the turtles were fun loving but the only ones that acted like a goof were Michelangelo and Raph on occasion.

Because of their exaggerated goofiness I loved them even more in this special. Forgot how great these guys were in comparison to the 2k3 guys. Not hating on them but the '87 turtles are just so much fun.

Cowabunga!. :)

They did use to run around in broad daylight, but that was in later seasons when NYC knew they existed.

Notice how much shorter the 80's turtles were compared to the 2k3 turtles ? And they kept calling them " chubby " and " pudgy " .

One of my favorite scenes has to be when they first meet the Mirage turtles, and they kick the 2k3 turtles ass and the 80's turtles run away. And also when the Mirage turtles make fun of the 2k3 turtles, and 2k3 Ralph tries to save face by making fun of 80's Leo, then tries to give Mirage Ralph a high five, and basically gets dissed and dismissed by him.

Let's try to be mindful of some of the spoilers, guys. Some people haven't seen it yet

And then later, after dimensional order has been restored, the Mirage turtles say "I did like those initialed belt buckles of theirs" (which Raph had made fun of earlier in an attempt to gain acceptance). Then another of them says "and you know, a slice actually sounds good about now" "yeah, I know a place over on (whatever the street was)."

Heheheh. :D

I'm glad I wasn't the only one who thought this movie was amazing, my only little teeny tiny nitpick was I don't remember 80s Leo and Don that goofy, sure they had their moments but those two were probably the closet to what the 2k3 Leo and Don are. I was happy to hear how close the 80s voice cast were to the original cast from the old series.

The scenes I like was when the 2k3 Shredder showed them the other turtles from the different media they appeared in and second was when both sets of turtles met the turtles that started it all was amazing I wished that scene was longer but hey it's a tv movie. Great ending for the Mirage Turtles, 2k3 turtles and the 80s turtles finally get a proper ending they deserved.

I think that was Mirage Mike saying he liked the initials on their belts and Mirage Raph said yeah you would
