Despite my negativity towards the film, I have never been against Stevenson's casting. I would have preferred a better script and director and Jane starring but **** happens and this is what we are getting. All I can do is ***** about it.

Well, if she's the one saying "NO!" in the trailer, I really like her delivery on THAT line

Ray Stevenson should be really good, Wayne Knight could mail it in and still be great, and I'm hoping they've singled out Dominic West's few over-the-top lines in the trailers, and the rest will be wonderful.

Juile Benz isn't going to make or break it, and I question the damage a minor character could do to it anyways, even if she is beyond terrible.

benz probably won't have too much screen time, which should be the case since the cast is pretty big. there's lots of other characters and with the exception of benz, this film has a good supporting cast. anyway, i think ray stevenson alone could be worth the price of admission. he looks exactly like frank castle and it seems like he's got the character down too with a solid performance.

It's going to depend (for me) how he carries himself. In the trailers, I'm mostly liking what I see, but if he stays over the top too persistently, it'll probably get annoying. I think he'll do a good job.

seems like most people like west as jigsaw but some feel he might overdo it. there's a little discussion about him a page back. personally, i think he's going to be fine and he looks insanely badass. the evidence is right there in my avatar. t:

they always going to use the crazy over the top lines in trailers to grab people's attention. i don't think it's an indication that west is going to ham it up, i think he's better than that.

Jigsaw is one of my favorite villains,and I always wanted to see him on screen.I just hope this doesn't end up like Two face bad.

Ya know what's funny, we have all been preaching gloom and doom about how this movie is going to turn out and looking for every sign of it seeming like it's going down the drain.
Well, I have to say, everything I have seen so far has been positive. Hell, I even like the Rob Zombie song.

I thought Julie Benz was good in Rambo. She hit all the right emotional beats for me in that movie. Some of her best stuff got cut out though.

Her role in Saw 5 was a nothing role and she did the best she could with it. She wasn't bad but she really had nothing good to work with.

I'm pretty sure she'll do fine in the Punisher.

As for Dominic West? It's coin toss right now for me. His delivery is what I expected so it didn't sting so bad, but I don't like it either.

This movie looks absolutely terrible...and I mean worse than the first one. This will bomb and it will bomb big. The tv spot looked ridiculous.

New spot looks good. For one, it kinda' let's people know it's a restart.
