The Dark Knight Two Face Revealed

My votes for Acid. But then again, My vote was for Hilary also. Doh'

This isn't exactly an election, here - the majority vote won't choose what method of scarring ends up being the correct one in the film.

Acid. Eckhart has said twice now that its acid, and Eric Roberts has said that they stick closely to the comics.

I also will go as far to say that the part we see in the trailers is not from Dent's scarring at all, but he is actually scarred in the courtroom during Maroni's trial.

awesome. you've given me hope, again. from the "half" clip you can kinda see his face is more bloody(wet) than charred. also if it was an explosion his hand would probably be charred as well and it most certainly was not. i'm just wondering now how much acid is going to get thrown. it gets the entire left side including the top and back.

I've just watched the clip. It's kind of odd watching it out of context, as I take it it will be more unsettling during the movie. Still, it looks good so far, and I can't wait to see Two Face on the big screen come July.

eckhart said two-face's look will make people sick to their stomaches in an interview. i'm really excited to see the end result as well. why do we have to wait a month to find out?

I would really love him to be scarred during the maroni's trial, as in TLH, but I'm sure it wouldn't ruin anything if it was fire. Nolan is a great director, and he knows how to handle things. anyway it'll be one of the stongest moment of the film.

You never know, maybe it's acid that gets set on fire

They could throw flaming acid at his face. Or acidic fire at him... or...

Regardless of the method, I think that Two-Face's look will be satisfactory.

when i first read this i thought yes, thats a pretty good indication that it might not be a burn...but then again, harvey has his hands cuffed when hes face down in the gasoline. that could be why that hand wasnt burnt, but i really hope they keep it in the courtroom.

One of the actors in the movie confirmed to me that Maroni's trial does take place, that it is "chaotic," and all of the players from the casting side scene of Dent's scarring are present.

If that scene is not of Dent's scarring then idk what else it would be.

Interesting.

Its the same thing as the permawhite, AMH, and Harley Quinn arguements. Some people want there to be more than there is and don't want to accept the truth even when it is starring them in the face.

Actually, this seems like the total opposite of the permawhite thing.

We've seen pictures of the Joker that suggest he's wearing makeup and most people say that his skin isn't white. Those hopeful (delusional?) few like myself do want there to be more to it than that, though.

But, we've see footage of Harvey screaming with half of his face on the ground while some kind of liquid is poured. That suggestion of an alternative origin is as strong as the visual evidence against permawhiteness, and it's also a similar departure from the comics.

Bottom Line: It's a movie that comes out in a month. There isn't any "truth" to stare anybody in the face until until July 18th. Good natured disagreement about what's going to happen at that point is fun, stifling everybody's speculation is not.

Funny thing is, his voice in "half" does sound different to me, it´s lower and a little rapier than the normal. It´s not like a growl, but it IS different.

I definitely believe it's acid, and I wouldn't be surprised if the scene we see in the trailer is an attempt by the mob and/or Joker to find out the true identity of Batman. The moment he yells "Nooo" he could be looking at someone holding a match. This scene could be yet another foreshadowing of what will eventually happen to Dent.

For those that think seeing what appears to be charred, black skin on Dent is indicative of fire...please look read the following description:

http://interplast.blogs.com/sri_lanka/homicidal_burns/index.html

And keep in mind...when you guys think of acid burning all the way thru ones skin...that would probably be true for fully concentrated acid. They could always use acid at a lower Normality (for all you science geeks out there :P)..

BTW...long time reader, noob poster! I've enjoyed these forums...if not for info definitely for the entertainment! Makes the work day go by a little faster :)

Are people assuming that Dent on the ground yelling "no" is not in a courtroom? I dont see any indications its not a courtroom

It will be. I have no worries. They'll find the right way to do it.

I won't sleep UNTIL you admit that Anthony Michael Hall is playing the permawhite Harley Quinn who turns into the Riddler.

I dont want to sound childish, but I dont see any indications that it is a courtroom.

Am I right in thinking a fiery pool of gasoline would engulf your whole head in about a second?

I'm sticking with the courtroom/acid theory.

:funny: Im pretty sure a firey pool of gasoline WOULD engulf your whole head. I dont think thats what happens to Dent. Unless he's cousins with Superman or something.
