The Dark Knight Two Face Revealed

I have a question for those that saw the film.

Not a question about Dent and his rise and fall but one for Two Face.

I keep hearing how Heath did a phenomenal job as Joker but what I'm wondering is, would you consider Eckhart as a truly great Two Face or was there a lot of room for improvement?

I thought Eckhart was great. When he has his angry moments it came as a bit of a surprise because im not used to seeing Eckhart play that type of character but he plays it very convincingly. I loved his take on the role.

Two-Face was a real let down. He was just an angry Dent. There was no sign of a Two-Face persona at all. Just a manic, angry Harvey the whole time.

Two-Face was perfect! I loved his scenes! Well done Nolan!

Was there a Two-Face voice?

Harvey's voice became a bit...scratchier post-scarring. But, like I said, it was just Harvey in there. No Two-Face persona at all.

Bleh. I want to wait for the movie, but if there really is no Two-Face persona at all, I cannot see any redeeming factor coming from that disappointment. Especially considering how they'll likely not even more forward with him.

no casket was shown in the film.....just a ceremony...could be a memorial service, possibly a funeral, could be a service honoring him as a hero

^

Gordon and Batman had a conversation over his body. Do you really think they'd have just lost it and the point wouldn't be raised in the film? If Harvey was still out there on a rampage, there'd be no point to Batman doing what he did. Harvey's dead.

There was NO ACTUAL FUNERAL! It doesn't clarify what it was exactly. To me it seemed more like a memorial to honor him. There is no casket shown at all. However Dent is dead but you never know...

i'm just saying it's a possibility....they left it open for a third movie appearence....harvey could be layed up in a hospital...a hero because he "stopped batman"

QFT.
The way I see it is that there is absolutely zero need for Two Face to return in a sequel apart from appeasing fan boys ;) His story was extremely conclusive, powerful, emotional, tragic, etc. I'd consider bringing Two Face back to be on par with bringing Ra's back. The whole, we didn't see his body argument doesn't really work - we didn't see a body for Ra's either :)

Exactly.
What I hate most about comics is that noone ever stays dead (not even that little Jerk Jason Todd). I'm glad the movies don't try the same.

I loved when Harvey is in the hospital and he yells "Rachael!" at the Joker :hehe:

For all that they changed (or left out) of Harvey/Two Face I see why they did it that way. Scixophrenia would just be too much to fit in, and the way they pulled it off it;'s unnerscarry. Also they introduced the coin in his first scene and used it quite cleverly, "making his own luck" while he pretends to be relying on chance. His entire introduction was pretty cool actually, with the courtroom applauding him.

I also really appreciated the first scene with him and Gordon, it helped set the tone for the movie alot. They're no nonsense and straight down to business and it lays plenty of hints for later in the movie. Eckharts are better actor than I expected he would be.

Arron E. is amazing in the movie, and the final scene in the movie involving him, Gordan, and Batman is one of the best parts of the movie. You won't be disappointed.

I loved the look of Two-Face.
I don't think that they could have done any better.
The voice, could have been better, but i'd have to see the film again to give a definite decision as i was too busy paying attention to his face. God damn it looked good.
I'm think that at the end it wasn't a funeral, but a memorial to Harvey. Possibly because the body is...missing....?
I liked what they did with the character, just his two biggest parts are kinda of let downs for me. His scarring was not what i was expecting, and abit of a letdown for me. And his death, well it was kinda high up, but come on, Batman got straight up and was running from cops a couple minutes later. I honestly think that if Nolan wants Harvey will be back.

Gordon had the body. It wasn't like it was ambiguous like Ra's. Gordon, and the police have the body. He's dead. 100% dead. No coming back.

I just know he was deffinately pissed, and was traveling into madness, as the joker said, he didn't take much to go crazy, just needed a push.

In response to what others have said about the missing Two Face persona...

It probably didn't exist yet. Harvey was PISSED. His last scenes in the movie set up for a split personality. Gordon and Batman press to calm Harvey down and bring back Gotham's "White Knight." If they do continue on with Two Face - somehow - the Two Face persona will make more sense. Harvey will be torn between his good self and his self that lacks any inhibitions.

IMO, Batman was more prepared for what was about to happen. Two Face was taken completely by surprised.

Plus,
Batman was grasping onto the edge before he himself dropped... that and he was wearing armour after all ;)

Harvey wasn't in the best shape either. He should, technically, still be in the hostpital.
