Two untitled Marvel films set for summer 2014

I've started to think that the first movie might be a more mid-budget movie.

Pixar is releasing a movie that's sure to be in the 200 Million dollar budget range 2 weeks after the first 2014 Marvel film. I'd assume Cap 2 would be the June 27th film, with a 150 M + budget. I can't see Disney doing two gigantic campaigns 2 weeks apart.

I allways saw Zack Efron as a good candidate for Light Yagami from Death Note.
Fanboys allways look to disney actors the same way the oscars look at superhero movies :oldrazz:

Light has a sinister streak to him and is kind of an unlikable *****e.Don't if Efron can pull that off despite the fact he seems to be a decent actor.

He looks the part and i think that he could pull it off

Everyone gives him a bad name because he was in Disney. The truth is, he's atchualy a great actor. And he's positivley beautiful...

Umm I had a crush on Zac Efron before because he's really cute but I don't think he's good enough to portray characters like Angel or Sub-Mariner.

He can definitely play Angel, but Sub-Mariner? Not at all. Let's not act like Angel's a hard character to portray.

I wouldn't be surprised if even Marvel themselves are still debating like us over which movies should take those slots.

I think they know very well which of their projects is the most developed. If not, they don't do their job.

Maybe they are waiting news from Fox to see if they will give back the FF franchise instead of going ahead with the reboot, so Marvel can factor it in their 2014 schedule. But I think one of the two movies will definitely be Capt. America 2.

that's unlikely. why would they wait for FF and then rush a script when they have a) a mostly finished script for Ant-Man b) scripts currently written for Dr. Strange, Black Panther and probably even Iron Fist?
Also, if I recall correctly FOX has a timespan of 6 years to produce another FF movie. (or at least that's what the internet says) ROTSS was 2007, so FOX won't lose the rights until 2013, to short a time to produce a movie for a 2014 release.

Plus, I highly doubt Marvel is sitting on pins and needles with a wait-n-see approach to FF rights. Regardless of whether or not you liked the FF movies, the fact is that they only attracted moderate-sized audiences at best. Not a "must" for Marvel Studios to push to the top of the pile over other projects already in development.

If Cap 2 gets is one of the 2014 movies, I'd like to see Brad Bird direct it.....

That definitely does not mean they're not doing their job. They have multiple projects to choose from. Whatever they don't choose can go to 2015 and beyond. It is possible they're still choosing.
