People whining about Cap taking a few hits are grinding my gears. Why aren't Thor fans weeping because he has a cut on his forehead?

Yeah it's been annoying me as well, like geez when did Cap become Superman?

It's perfectly within his character to get thrown around.

This applies to any and all adventure fiction heroes, from Indiana Jones to John McClane. Hell, even Superman and Thor, as tough as they are they need to be put through the wringer every now and then. What's so exciting about a protagonist who is never threatened by anything? There's nothing heroic about steamrolling ones opponents all the time.

I'd rather Cap get the crap kicked out of him only to have him come back for more than to see him pull a Steven Seagal and never get so much as a hair knocked out of place. That's lame.

True even Superman got threw around in MOS and obviously Thor did in TDW.

I just hope that the fight between Thor and Vision will be better than his fight with Hulk in Avengers.

Heck, it'd be nice to see a similar situation from MOS where Thor has to chase Vision down within a city while flying and them trading blows mid flight.

Not likely, Chris said it takes place in The Avengers tower.

Then again it could spill into the skies or the streets.

If Thor ends up traveling to several realms during his mini/solo quest in this film, more so than in any of his previous solo films...that would actually be quite sad in some ways.lol

Maybe it's not the blast that's knocking him back, maybe it's something that we can't see/that hasn't been added to the scene yet?

It has to be something else, that blast wouldn't effect any of the Avengers let alone Thor.

The only thing I can think of is a Vision phase job or QS. But it could just be someone else out of view.

I'm not saying that the shot isn't finished but there's been lots of trailers that have had unfinished shots in them so it wouldn't be anything unusual if it was.

An unfinished shot (with CGI characters or objects missing) in trailers is hardly unusual, take one of the trailers for the first Avengers movie, for example. There were explosions and not much else along a NY street - in the final film that same shot had the addition of Loki and the Chitauri on their gliders as being the cause of the explosions.

And Thor, yes, it takes a s***load

so I see Logan downing whisky bottles left and right, surrounded by cigar butts
while Thor holds a keg like a beer can, crushes it on his forehead and tosses it aside onto a pile of discarded kegs

The same reason Frost Giants were bigger in "Thor" than in the trailers. Same reason the chitauri didn't appear in The Avengers trailer even though their blasts were.

Same reason lighting was added to Thor's ground smash in TDW when there was none in the trailer.

I think Thor says is that the best you can do after all the drones attack, then Ultron does something which makes Thor step forward and the others step back. The markins on him are exactly the same.

Also Thor dropping his hammer is not part of that same shot, you'd be able to see Cap otherwise.

Possibly, possibly Thor does get killed hence Mjolnir falls and just bounces instead of it landing with a ground shuddering thud.

Well my thinking as to why top one is second is because, in the bottom one you see Cap come in from the side, where he is already positioned in the top one. Also the look on his face, the bottom one is more tired and determined, the top one seems more frightenend and he moves back.

So i just think after Thor says is that the best you can do, Ultron does something perhaps the hand thing but I'm not so sure. Which kind of makes Thor go what the hell is going on and steps forward, and Cap goes what the hell is going on and steps back.

These trailers really are cut up, I mean there is dialogue where individual words don't belong together.

Fair,but there is a lot of dialogue especially from Ultron which I'm sure is coming from all over the movie and being used to make a sentence.

Same where Widow says 'well you amazingly failed' the 'well' sounds weird compared to the rest of the sentence
