march 9th?

That's a Wednesday, so it'll most likely be out March 8th, on a Tuesday. Could be right, seeing as how the latest possible date in the Quarter is March 31st.

until dawn and tearaway unfolded are releasing on a wednesday, so that is possible.

I forgot to specify that I meant in the US. I'm not sure how it is in overseas, but games usually release here on Tuesdays, so if it's a day later in Europe, that date may be correct.

Amazon here is in the US still has the game listed with the placeholder March 31st.

Why don't games come out on Fridays? Most people I know get paid at the end of the week, and most of their free time is on the weekend. What is it about Tuesday's that is so special?

some games do just like some movies do. I think it's just something about Tuesdays. I know this budget movie theater that does $1 for movies on Tuesdays.

Friday night is too packed with premieres of stuff, from movies to sporting events.

if i'm not mistaken though there are films that release on tuesdays as well

The reason games, movies what have you typically get released on Tuesdays, in the US any way, is all due to the retailers. It has to do with shipping and stock. Its simply a logistics thing.

there you have it, marvolo. so the distributor works out with the retailers what is the best day of the week to release?

on why the nathan collection doesn't have multiplayer:

"we didn't want to fracture the current player pool and community"

...is that meaning to say they didn't want to make the mp available on Ps4 because there's still people playing it on Ps3? why'd they put mp on tlour then?

maybe bc thats what happened to TLOU and they didnt want it to happen again. ND ported TLOUR, and they've been supporting it since. ND is not porting the UC games and Bluepoint is only contracted to remaster it as they will move on to a new project once its done. It makes no sense to launch a multiplayer component with no team to support it and UC2 and 3 are kind of behind ND at this point. I want MP in the collection but UC4 comes out like 5 months later. It probably wouldnt be wise to commit to supporting MP in older games when they likely want to pull their PS4 resources into maintaining and updating the new version which again comes out very shortly.

the multiplayer install base of tlou got fragmented? how do you know that? it sold over 6 million copies on Ps3 and probably 2 million at this point on Ps4, and we don't know how many of those buyers were upgraders do we?

I dont know that. You brought up TLOUR and Sony would have the data on what did or didnt happen with that game. If this is the official reason for why they arent doing it with UC, then their past experience with TLOUR could explain that. Which again, I dont think is the case as I stated my reasons in my previous post

that's what they said but it might not be the whole truth; that's what i'm skeptical about. they might've skipped out on mp because of the scare that mcc gave, even though halo's always been a more robust mp game

New trailer released showing stuff from all three games, but mostly Drake's Deception:

Why's that? I honestly wasn't excited about the news until I saw the trailer.
