Wow! 2 have it ahead of and one level with UC2. That's pretty much the best praise available.

How long did it take you guys to get through the campaign once?
Not spoiling anything, but I always liked 2 better than 3, until I played it again in the Collection and remember how great it was. But what it comes down to for me is I much prefer the Drake/Elena story as opposed to the Drake/Sully story, even though 3 had some great emotional moments between those two.

But for 4, I think it tops the emotional parts of 3 by far, but the gameplay itself isn't as frequently exciting as 2 or 3. So it's hard to rank them because its better in many ways but not as amazing in other areas.

But as a "final" game of the series, it's fantastic, and it only took me 14 hours to get through.

Not sure hours wise I'd have to check in game, but I was busy with work the week it came out. Took me 3 days (3 nights basically after getting home from work).

Great, thanks for that. I can't wait, will probably be about 3 weeks before I play it.

Nice, should get it done in one weekend then. ;)

I didn't track the hours but it took me 3 days to finish. If I were to guess I'd say it took me about 17-18hrs of actual play time. I definitely didn't do it in Spideyville's 14hrs, that's for sure, lol.

It depends on just how in depth you get with the exploration. I played it for about 3-4 hours over the course of 4 nights and I wasn't exactly rushing through things and actually spent a lot of time in Photo Mode.

^ That's the other thing for me too. Was doing a lot of photo mode. I just started my crushing playthrough the other night. Then after that my third playthrough will probably be for collecting all the treasures and farming trophies.

okay so I cant be the only one that thinks Sam looks like Luke Perry

Yeah, I've replayed that chapter 3-4 times now. I LOVE it. Glad to hear you're enjoying the game so far too!

Thanks FC. :) It really is incredible, not just the set pieces but the dialogue between the characters is fantastic, I was dubious about Sam as his addition lessened Sully's role, but the humoroius banter between the brothers is great and I've enjoyed their back story. Now I'm back with Elena after she saved me and the scenes between her and Nate are better than many we see between couples in TV and movies.

Also, Libertalia has been realized brilliantly, the design of the place is magnificent.

We've already been through this pages and pages back. Someone posted Perry while I said Springsteen.

Glad you're enjoying it man. Yeah Libertalia is awesome and beautiful.

Ive played it twice. Once on Normal and once on Crushing. Each one took me a little over 14 hours, but I have a tendency to leave Nate standing while I browse the internet and that ups my playtime.

If I wanted to rush I could probably clear the game in around 10-11 hours. I might could shave that down if I skipped all the cinematics.

Yeah, I REALLY loved the parts in Libertalia with Elena. The rapport between them was great, and even the music was so on point there. You aren't kidding that it's handled better than most TV and movie couples. They are honestly one of my favorite fictional couples now, lol. And of course, Libertalia is indeed absolutely gorgeous. I'm glad we spend more time there than any other location. The amount of photos I took in photo mode increased significantly once I got there, lol.

I can see the resemblance there too.

And yeah Libertalia, simply gorgeous. Nate and Elena's relationship and back and forth in this game is just done so well. Love them.

I'm on my third playthrough. On tract to finishing it in under six hours to get the speedrun trophy. My first run, which was on hard, took about 17-18 hours. I spent a lot of time just walking around and looking at stuff.

I'll be speeding through the campaign to try and get it done in a weekend otherwise I'll have to leave without seeing the ending!

Ha my friend does that. His console is on all day but he's hardly ever there. It shows he's played a thousand hours in some games while his progress doesn't match up at all.

And no way I'm skipping cinematics!

wow so there sure is alot of butt sliding in this game. I thought the Kinda Funny guys were exaggerating when they joked about it. Its like ND found a new game mechanic and made sure to put it everywhere

Butt sliding?

when Nate drops on an angled surface and literally slides down on his butt. You steer and either have to jump at the end and/or use your grappling hook. Im on Ch 8 and this has been used alot

Oh yeah, I know what you're talking about now.

He comments on how his ass hurts from gravel being crammed in it. Rather comical.

man Im REALLY enjoying the MP. I didnt get into the beta so this is my first time with it and its so much fun. Much more refined than the PS3 games. The one thing thats dissappointing is just how few game modes there are right now. I can see the existing 4 getting old fast but for now Im having a blast.

Finished the game tonight, brilliant stuff, an instant classic! :applaud

The Madagascar level was the action highlight but the game was satisfying from start to finish with a great story tying all of the action, adventure and puzzles together.

I loved the Pirate ship graveyard on Libertalia, such a brilliant idea and it looked phenomenal. The story being book ended by the life of Nate and Elena was such a good move, I enjoyed the epilogue and felt it rounded things off nicely, and damn did they end up with a beautiful home. :D

Still......I think Cassie might get in trouble in Egypt and Mom, Dad and her 2 Uncles are going to have to rescue her! :sly:
