why is what? what are you asking?
Why is the music the only thing you liked?

Also, there were some new modes announced with for the Collection:

New Modes Revealed for Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection
Try out an even harder difficulty.

Three new game modes have been revealed for Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection.

The first three Uncharted games are all being packed into a single collection for PlayStation 4, and now Naughty Dog has revealed there will also be a few new ways to play, as well as a photo mode.

Explorer Mode is for beginners where combat difficulty is greatly reduced. Meanwhile, Speed Run Mode adds a timer that tracks your time against your friends through different sections of the game. Brutal Difficulty Mode is even harder than Crushing Difficulty, and is unlocked when you beat Crushing Difficulty.

In addition, you can play through the single player campaigns using any one of over 65 character skins. Purchasing The Nathan Drake Collection also grants you access to the Uncharted 4: A Thief's End multiplayer beta.

i'm someone who thinks the trilogy didn't need remaster treatment in the first place.

let's leave it at that. i don't want to start something else here.
Ah ok, I thought it was more of an issue with the visuals or presentation.

My personal feeling is this, as with a lot of other games/franchises, is something we don't need, but its nice to have.
Thanks, this is what I've been waiting for since this was announced. I'm really anxious to play the first one because I've grown to dislike how much it looked like a cartoon in comparison to the others. I'm also glad they fixed the glossy eyes from the second one.

that's an optimistic way of looking at it I guess. as far as the visuals go though, it really does not look like much of a difference to me, not like tlour was, but maybe that's because ND themselves did that.

np, never noticed the glossy eyes btw. i'll probably play all these games on easy. i think it is ridiculous that they're giving another difficulty mode.

Since TLOU was released late in the PS3's life cycle, I wouldn't be surprised if Sony developed that for the PS4, sat on it for a bit while they downgraded it for the PS3, and once it became a hit, they didn't to make some tweaks. Uncharted 3, however, was released almost 4 years ago and was still pretty good looking. The real tests for me are how the first two games look and they look decent for 6-8 year old games.

You can see the difference they made from 1 and 2 herem the eyes have more of a glassy look and it was the only thing I hated about the second game, in terms of visuals.

the Ps4 version was definitely in development or at least planned to be a thing, but I don't think it was in the case that you mentioned. otherwise tlour wouldn't have been struggling to maintain 60fps in certain instances of the game, which someone people have said happened.

I see. the clipping is all that really bothered in me in Uc2 but it looks like Uc4 is aiming to not have any at all.

So preordering the collection grants early access to the Nathan Drake pack. Is that supposed to be paid DLC down the line? I dont ge it as it grants UC1, 2 and 3 skins. Are those for use in the collection or UC4?

Also have they given a tentative time frame for the beta? Will it be this fall or early next year?

Im holding off on getting this. Its kind of hard to justify buying any games in October with Black Friday right around the corner not to mention the annual B2G1 sales

The skins and guns in the Nathan Drake Pack are for use in the collection.

As for the beta, I haven't seen a definitive date, but articles talk like it will be available at the Collection's launch.

according to Digital Foundry: "Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is more than just a remaster"

The release of the latest Uncharted: the Nathan Drake Collection story trailer demonstrates that developer Bluepoint Games is indeed improving and remaking swathes of Naughty Dog's existing assets, respectfully enhancing even incidental detail. The evidence suggests that this isn't just a simple port we're dealing with here - new art or geometry is commonplace in virtually every shot in this latest trailer.

For instance, the original character models used in Drake's Fortune look rather dated next to those used in Uncharted 3. It makes sense to create a more coherent look across all three games by upgrading the models, and based on what we've seen in the trailer, that's exactly what has happened.

As expected, all three games benefit from an increase in resolution to full 1080p with post-process anti-aliasing. Anisotropic filtering, contact shadows, and improved shading are all present as well, creating a cleaner, more pleasing overall image. Simply eliminating the noticeable texture blurring that plagued the original games along with various other rendering issues makes a world of difference here.

However, there is a notable omission based on every Nathan Drake Collection asset we've seen so far: motion blur.
While motion blur was mostly absent from the pre-rendered cut-scenes in the original games, the real-time sequences in this new trailer are lacking the effect too. Motion blur shutter speed was modified for The Last of Us Remastered, resulting in a more subtle effect, but it seems to be completely absent in everything we've seen so far in the Nathan Drake Collection.

In addition [in Uncharted 2], we also note an increase in alpha effects and their density. As the chopper takes out the bridge early in the demo, there is a noticeable increase in smoke and dust that isn't there on PS3.

When Nate reaches the top of the tower at the start of the demo we also note an increase in distant detail. Buildings are more complex further out into the scene while entire chunks that were previously absent have been added into the mix. Even the mountain range has been updated in this new version and there are also noticeable changes to lighting and scene colorisation.

when is the Collection coming out?

is crushing mode locked as well? I mean was it locked in the Ps3 versions?

I guess. but sony does have a big hitter this year even if it's 3rd party and that's persona 5

Persona 5 isn't really a big hitter, at least not in the states. I can't imagine they sell more then a million copies in the US. Persona 4 was on the PS2 and apparently sold less then a million worldwide.

people didn't think bloodborne would be a big hitter either but not only did it receive critical acclaim, it sold a million copies a lot faster than sony thought it would.
