Uncharted 4: A Thief's End

One of the things I really love is the new stealth system added. It really slows the game down in a good way. I've yet to make it through an entire wave of enemies without being spotted, but does make the gun fights feel a bit more realistic. I just wish there was a better way to mark enemies without having to pop out of cover first.

They definitely Incoporated the stealth factor from TLOU.

Btw what difficulty level is everyone playing on? Doing my first run through on hard. Then after being familiar with it all will probably do crushing.

I'm playing on normal(?). I like to get a feel of the game first before playing through on harder difficulties for the trophies. As familiar as the game feels, coming right off of the Collection, the slight change in controls is still getting to me. Can't tell you how many times I've thrown dynamite while trying to reload.

Well I've slowly made my way to chapter 5 I think. Just started playing [BLACKOUT]as Sam. [/BLACKOUT]

I've gotta say this opening has been incredible. This is storytelling at its finest. I'm already 100% locked in emotionally. This game is the reason I bought a PS4 two years ago.

There are so many incredible little details. The way you can examine things in your hands, the photo-mode, the way Drake interacts with his surrounding, etc. It's all incredible.

And I loved that introduction to modern day Drake. The juxtaposition of feeling like you're hunting for some treasure, but then it ends up being just another day of mundane work. That was all great.

Everything here is top notch. The acting is UNREAL. Never seen anything like it in games before. This has set a new bar.

Im playing on normal. I always do my first play throughs on normal. Then ill play it on hard. Then on Crushing. Then on brutal.

Ive still got to beat UC1 and UC3 on crushing. I havent beat any of them on brutal.

There's a difficulty beyond Crushing now? Holy!
Has anyone tried it?

Played a bit more tonight. In the middle of chapter 6. Man I wish I didn't work late hours during the week. I'll really be able to dive more into this over the weekend. How many chapters again? Usually 20 something.

Loving all the great first impressions so far  I'll be able to get a little session in after work early morning

Brutal is...well its brutal.

Brutal - An even harder difficulty than Crushing that is only featured in The Nathan Drake Collection, and must be unlocked by beating each game on Crushing.

Drake deals half as much damage to enemies.

Enemies deal quadruple damage to Drake.

Drake has half as much health, meaning that he can die within 2-3 shots.

Most combat tutorials are disabled.

Enemies do not drop stealth-killed weapons when stealth-killed.

Tweaks and the ability to grant weapons at any time is disabled.

Almost every ammo pick-ups only give 1/6 as much ammo to Drake.

The Charted! - Brutal trophy is unlocked after beating each game on this difficulty. Beating the game on this difficulty is not required to unlock the Platinum trophy.

Recommended for master players that want to put their true skills to the test.

Didn't expect to play this game until it hit $20-30, but a friend who got it at midnight last night decided he didn't have time for it right now and is letting me borrow it, so yay, maybe I can finish it before he wants it back. Downloading the patch now.

Isn't the game in the collector's edition, though? Why did you keep the standard one?
yeah the game in the collector's edition is in a steelbook case, which I don't like. So I get to sell that for $60, while I get the original for $47 due a pricing error amazon had which they honored.

Has anyone been noticing an issue with some of the "cutscenes" where the character's faces (usually) look a little blurry. It usually happens when they turn they're head slightly. It's not entirely bad, but it almost looks like a slight vibration whenever there's movements.

im only a few hours in, its refreshing to not have to go through a ton of waves of enemies from the start. A few puzzles, some climbing and a lot of story. I actually put my controller down and just watched for awhile. This game is beautiful.

What celebrity does Sam look like? I keep thinking he resembles somebody famous but I can't put my finger on it.

Well now I'm never going to look at him the same again lol

Just wanted to share some screenshots I took. Some of them do contain spoilery material, so feel free to skip on pass them.
