Underrated Sequels

I think Back to the Future 2 and 3 all tie in well enough that they are all valid!

Maybe I was over thinking the Transformers 2 thing, but like what Oscar Wilde once said "All art is trivial". So I think it's valid enough, especially for a board like this.

Spider-man 3 - i know it is not as well made as the other two, but i like it just as much as them.
Temple of Doom - it's my 2nd fav Jones movie
Batman Forever - it's my 3rd fav Batman movie
BTTF II - is this underated? I like it almost as much as the first one.
Matrix Reloaded - The first is such a 100% classic, but they tried hard with the sequels, no-one can deny that, they just overstretched a bit. Some of my fav action scenes of all time are in the MR, the 'Furious Angels' fight and the Burly Brawl, which is the best non-Batman Batman fight on film, the kick I get watching the Burly Brawl is the same level of kick i got watching the Adam West Batman fights when i was 3yrs old. The music is pure Batman, and the martial arts are at times the way Batman fights multiple opponents in the comics.

the pink panther 2 this is funny. i like when he puts on the poeps rob and goes outside every one chear for him he falls out of the blance. its funny.

I forgot about these two, yes, the ff movies are extremely lakcing, but if i am in the mood for seeing some FF action i will always go for the sequel, never the 1st movie, the second movie felt more like an FF movie for me, and I think it's a good watch until 'Galactus' shows up.

Superman III i have recently re-evaluated, I like it so much more than Superman Returns now, the Smallville stuff is good, bad Superman is great, and I get a chuckle out of watching Pryor interacting with Robert Vaughn, esp that convo about his socks.

Clerks 2 .. It actualy brings closure to the characters and feels like a natural sucessor.

Hellboy 2 . I dont understand the disdain for this film because I really enjoyed it .


Matrix sequels . Not what was expected but still were good.

Since when was Superman 2 an underrated sequel. In fact, I thought many people either thought of it as good - if not better - than the original, despite the behind-the-scene drama that happened with the production.

Hellraiser II is my favorite too along with Hellraiser 3 and 4 because they continued with the cenobites history and how the puzzle box was created, the direct-to-DVD sequels after that are horrible.

The Fly II is also good even if it's a by the numbers storyline where your just anticipating the moment of the Brundle's transformation and hey Hellraiser composer Christopher Young did the music too.

The Mummy Returns (with Brandan Fraser and Rachel Weicz) was better than the first movie, The Mummy, which was already really good.
