I don't know what to say. Not for a title. Most people do what they do because they're told to do it or have seen it, not because a light from the heavens beckoned them to begin some arduous task. Joan of Arc, Leonardo Da Vinci, Mohamed, Buddha, Isaac Newton and Moses might be exceptions, but most of us equate to copy pasta.
I made a few posts before about the human endeavor and what it is that drives people. I got a lot of brilliant answers, and thank you to those who posted. A lot of people asked if those posts were for home work, but they were merely out of my curiosity. Curiosity leading into this very post.
The question here is: Can we force evolution and adaptation?
Because we have higher intelligence and the ability to "cope", which has kept us alive for arguably millions/thousands of years, we theoretically can be "more than human". We can be more than just another type of "animal" in the sense of being arcane.
One could argue that, as I said in the first paragraph, people do what they do because we don't have any new ideas. We may improve upon certain things, but those things are quite limited in the grand scheme of things. However, the notion that history is some progressing circle, some kind of spiral of repeated events is a little narrow minded. There is a lot more to life (to existence) than the things that humanity has done.
I've heard it said "Do I dream, or am I a dream dreamt by a greater dreamer." So is it possible to be that final dreamer? Can we break out of our shells and rise above our own standards?
