So in the season 8 finale of Suits, Harvey and Donna finally got together at the end. But that was unexpected. What has happened to her relationship with Thomas Kessler? I know he was questioning who she is to Harvey (that Harvey would not want Donna to be implicated), but that doesn't mean that their relationship was suddenly over. Didn't they have a good thing going? Kessler also seems a man of integrity, so why would Donna just abandon him? Although we knew it was inevitable, I thought they would at least have a scene where Donna says she can't be with him anymore, or vice versa. But there was none of that.
And Zane has lost his licence to practise law, so I guess he won't be around next season. The firm will be back to being Specter Litt Wheeler Williams.
But if he was going to lose his licence, then why didn't he simply retire as proposed by Rand Kaldore? That would've allowed Daniel Hardman to join that firm and Zane wouldn't have gone down with his reputation in tatters.
Next season will only be 10 episodes as opposed to 16. I think they're planning to continue the Darvey storyline. They might try to also get Mike Ross back for a cameo. The creators said though that there was probably zero chance of getting Meghan Markle back for an appearance.
In other news, the Suits spin-off with Gina Torres has been renamed Pearson from its previous title of Second City. I preferred the original title, but I guess I can understand why they might've wanted to use Pearson because of the name familiarity from Suits. Although couldn't they have come up with a term similar to "Suits" to describe the world of politics?
