Homecoming Vincent D'Onofrio IS The Kingpin!

Yeah and just because he isn't ludicrously huge doesn't mean he cannot be incredibly strong. There are plenty of people who don't look traditionally huge but who are deceptively strong. If anything it'd make for a nice surprise. Spidey thinks that this guy is not a major threat to him, and then Fisk kicks his ass. Kind of like Tombstone did in the SSM cartoon.

There's nothing less deceptive than Tombstone's first appearance in TSSM. He like towered over Spider-man when he stood up. He also was super fast. It doesn't even matter if Kingpin's strong, they are gonna need some majorly convenient plot device to have Spider-man with his amazing senses, strenght and speed fall prey to D'onofrio's Kingpin. D'onofrio is pretty strong, but his fighting's more like Rhino's. The quicker you are, the easier it is to best him. That, and like I mentioned, spider strenght added to the mix, D'onofrio will never stand a chance

Well with spidey as a kid and not expecting Fisk to be a challenge. They could always have spidey be full of himself. And since Fisk is older and wiser then him. Out maneuver him.

I definitely think Kingpin would need some serious henchmen between him and even the greenest possible Spider-Man, Fisk was ferocious but no match for a superpowered being.

You be surprised he could probably go toe to toe with some. But ya it be a good reason with all the supers in the area. That Fisk will want some better backup then his regular hired hands.

Putting Vincent in a Spidey movie would be brilliant, me thinks. I love this prospect but I do agree that it has to be done in a way that makes sense so we can understand how & why Kingpin is able to defeat a superpowered being.

The only problem is I wonder how they'll make Kingpin seem as physically imposing as he does in the comics given we've seen Spider-Man take on much worse than a fat guy in a suit.

Well it all counts on what type of fight he has with spisey. And of course if peter gets to full of himself and doesn't think he be a threat and one mistake kingpin could beat him up.

Yeah, plus Kingpin is obviously not just all fat in this MCU I assume he has considerable strength. He tossed DD around like a rag doll and took a taser like a mosquito bite.

Don't see why Kingpin and Spidey would need to go toe to toe. You never saw Vito Corleone beating up someone.
Have King Pin in the background pulling the strings. He could employ Tombstone or whoever to do a certain job. Spiderman overcomes Tombstone but never finds out who was behind it. Kingpin might even still be in prison.
They need to plan this properly as a franchise. Have an idea where they want to be in 3/4/5 films time. Each film should be just a chapter in a larger story. ut it needs to be written well. Not rushed. Have his relationship with MJ (or whoever) build over time. He doesn't need to be in love and have revealed his identity by the end of the first film. I'd prefer just a brief introduction.

It'll fall flat if there's no face to face confrontation, though. I get having Kingpin being the mastermind behind schemes & that should always be applied but he's not Vito Corleone. He's much more ruthless & willing to get his hands dirty any time he has to.

Ta and as we seen in the show Vincent version isn't just the mastermind. Again as I said it all about type of fight they are in. And if spidey gets to cocky with himself and looses up hand. Remember this will be a young probably not thst good of a fighter. And if he goes up with Fisk who is bigger and wiser and older he could still be hurt. Spidey sense and strength will not prevent him from getting hurt still.

I think the more important questions are is Vincent now the de facto Wilson? Or will they try to recast him in the films?

Jay the netflix shows like the other shows carter and shield are all part of the mcu. There would be no need to recast the role. Untill a few yrs and all that. Or if actor wants out and all.

But how many characters from "Shield" have made appearances in the MCU movies? That's all I'm saying.

I agree.

Though I wonder how they did that with contracting as TV and film tend to be very different beasts.
good point, however, knowing the daredevil/spiderman/kingpin combos that are in the comics, i think it's very likely a crossover will happen.

They may not have appeared in films yet. But it's all connected.
