Visualizing A Superman Reboot: Pictures Welcome

I'm thinking its going to be Brainiac & Lex (maybe Doomsday or Bizarro too) for SR2. The film will end with a cliffhanger of Darkseid and his army readying themselves (this will only work if SR2 and SR3 are shot back to back). I'd also introduce Cadmus and Amanda Waller who've grown wary of the Kryptonian especially with the arrival of Brainiac (Kryptonian origin).

Then in SR3, I'd have Darkseid invade with an all out attack on Metropolis with Superman managing to fight off parademons and protect the city's denizens. Lex would pop up, maybe have him help Superman. Also, I'd have further characterization and development on Cadmus.

Will there be an SR 2, if Ghost Rider out gross SR?
I think that anytime a superhero film grossest big, it bodes well for all superhero properties. Now if we can get a decent sequel and save Superman from shame! Hey, I just thought of the ultimate villian for the sequel. Someone more deadly to Superman than Kryptonite! SINGER!! Superman could fight Singer in the sequel. Kick his ass Supes!:cmad:

WB will realize that all of the action featured in Ghost Rider's trailers and commercials drew audiences in.

It wouldn't hurt if SR2 could be up against the same crap GR is too.

Mongul is actually more of a Superman villain, though. Darkseid is a JLA threat, so him being put in a Superman movie would result in him being powered down.

That was my thinking. Darkseid's interesting and all, but Supes has a wealth of villains that he's had more history with.

Call me traditional, but in a live-action movie version of a comicbook character - I prefer that character to face off against the nemisi they're most commonly associated with in the comics.

One of my 1st experiences with Mongul was reading DC Comics presents #27 to #28 - and he certainly left an impression.

Alan Moore certainly must have admired him too - using him so menacingly as the villain in the now classic 'For the man who has everything' story (Superman annual # 11) - resulting in arguably one of the best comicbook quotes of all time;

Superman: "Burn".

Exactly . I'd much rather have an accurate portrayal of Mongul on screen than a watered-down Darkseid, considering that both of them would serve the same purpose in a movie; but Mongul has the advantages of not having nearly as much baggage in his history, as well as being on a power-level much closer than Darkseid would be to Superman (keep in mind that the JLU version was really powered down, so he was basically the equivalent of Mongul).

Braniac comes to Earth sensing a Kryptonian distress signal from the Fortress which was ment as a guiding light for Jor El and Co. but sense Krypton was destroyed earlier than predicted it never fully happened, Brainiac sends scouts to earth and they began to attach onto people, ala Borg implants and such the knowledge and culture right out of them, mean while Clark and Lois are in a Middle eastern country called Syran covering the discovery of the oldest ruins to be found on earth they tell an epic story about God VS Evil the Apocalypse VS a Genesis, Brainiac's probes are sweaping the world and attack the site and start trying to get people, Supes jumps into action and quickly takes them out he flies around the world taking out all of the droids. Brainiac scans the history of earth and finds Lex Luthor, the one person who can almost defeat superman. Luthor with brainiac's large computing power strikes it rich over night in the Stockmarket and creates LexCorp, vowing that he has turn his ways and that he wants to protect the Earth, with Brainiac's help he creates Metallo, designed to be Superman's replacement. Metallo armed with brainiac's knowledge of Kryptonian Biology hunts down Supes, leading to a huge battle between them, Brainiac's minions show up and start zombifing more people which causes Supes to turn away and try and help, Metallo detects Kryptonian DNA in Jason and goes and finds him, kidnaps him and Broadcasts himself killing Jason over the entire city while jason cries and screams for his "Daddy", Supes filled with rage jets to Metallo and and just starts beating the hell out of him, until he gets to the Kryptonite hidden in his chest Supes gets really weak but as he looks at Jason's body he finds the strength to tear Metallo basicly in half. He gets Jason's Body and flies to the fortress and lays him on a plaque and draps the El Family crest over him. Brainiac begins a World Broadcast telling the planet have hours to live, and that one city will be choosen to survive. Supes flies back grabs Metallo's body minus Kryptonite and jets to Luthor's place, in a rage he demands to know where Brainiac is, Luthor denies him and simply looks up, Supes jets to space and sees Brainiac Mother Satellite orbiting, covered in Kryptonite Supes X-rays through Brainiac's ship and sees its powersupply, a huge Black hole, Supes jets off into space and flies right into the sun its takes a minute but he emerges through the otherside glowing blue and red he slams against the mothership and pushes it earth as it slams down into the middle of the Middle eastern desert there is a huge explosion. The ship basicly disentegrated and the Zombie-Borg implants begin to disovle and restore the normal order of the people. There is no sign of Superman, but it appears there was a huge rift in the fabric of Space for a few mili-seconds. Lois, who goes to the fortress of Solitude finds nothing, just a blooded S scroud and a picture of a Crudely drawn heart, it appears there is a hole in the ceiling and she bursts into tears.

After this we have a 3rd movie were Superman ends up on Apokolips as a result of the colasping Black Hole, he has forgotten who he is and you know the rest, just like STAS. Hinted at in the 2nd movie with the Temple scene.

After that we can have Zod return as the result of space rift opening up the phantom Zone, he gets the people of Syran to believe he is the prophet of fire and they worship him as a god. Or we could have Bizzaro show up and have him be the one who kidnaped Jason's regenerated body.

I don't like it because I can't read it.

Grammar is your friend.

Seems to me you put more thought into killing the kid than coming up with a decent series of Superman movies, judging by those last two plot synopses. That may be part of the problem IMO.

I actually meant GR's competition is all crap, though I've heard the same about GR too.

I disagree.
1. BRIDGE TO TERABITHIA = scfi/ fantasy
2.
NORBIT = comedy :up:
3. MUSIC AND LYRICS = chick flick

this week
1.
THE NUMBER 23 = thriller
2. RENO 911 = comedy

That's some good competition for Johnny Blaze, GR is not iconic as :supes:.
The word of mouth on this film is outstanding, alot of folks loved it,not it's okay, loved it.

If we're talking about the shield, Wikipedia has an interesting comparison chart:-

Personally, I'd say that out of all those shield's pictured on the chart, the SR 'S' more closely resembles the George Reeves 'S' shield.

What? No Superboy S's?

I have not heard a single good thing about this movie. And these are all opinions of the general public, not comic fans.

I've heard great stuff about the movie... I hang out at the movie theater a lot, and from what I've heard, people's reactions are overall positive about it.

Stupid POTC, being the competition for Supes and being way bigger than any of these (maybe all)

Here I go nit-picking...

That Byrne 'S' is totally a Perez 'S'.

Just sayin'....
