I see certain people saying that there is no press for a sequel. That it's not going to happen... It's as if some people come into these boards and never visit the main page

Here are some articles throughout the last few months which suggest a sequel will indeed happen. All from this very website.

Name the storylines/ elements/hints which are worth to develop for the sequel.

to me, the kryptonian technology is an interest idea which worth to be further developed into. (too bad lex only using it to make an ugly island)

now the crystals weren't pure info and data like in the donner's. they are super weapons, and transportation that can travel the universal... hmmm...

another element that could be further explore is "the back to krypton."

this excuse to bring us superman returns, could be used again to bring us "something"...

On topic: What's worth developing? Nothing. It's all screwed. We have superboy. We have real estate lex. We have Mommy Lois. We have useless Richard White, typical soap opera love triangle guy... it's screwed so badly there's no going back whether some want to admit it or not.

I'd like to see something happen to superman like what happened to batman but that's probably never going to happen since WB's really has no idea what it's doing. If there were a positive way to make things better, I'd say, have superboy just dissapear (it happens on tv shows all the time) start fresh like the last one didn't really happen. Make it vague history.

Have the next superman be more its own style away from donners. Use your imagination to come up with something really knock out brilliant! No more christ parallels, let the story focus on the coolness of being superman, having powers every man wishes he had. Don't make it an emo burden. That's not superman. That's batman.

They are placed differently in order to have the desired access and I don't think Lex took all of them, maybe there's another panel. Each piece is a blender, designed to fully adapt in any environment. The green crystal is the stored data and builder of the fortress... I would say it became the fortress.

c'mon, it's a $ 207/270 mil product. surely it has some good worth for developing into the sequel.

That's a heck of a random question.

I really haven't seen the movie in several months so I don't remember anything particularly beautiful about it right now. Superman The Movie was truly beautiful though... not only in pacing but just the way the shots were composed especially during clark's farm scenes. whatever singer copied must have been equally beautiful I guess. Oh if only Donner could have a chance at doing another superman movie though. He did it better than any of the others...

On a different note, I think we're all just desperate enough that another vague history thingy might have to be implimented here.

Some here will take anything with superman's name on it.

Some want more from the comic and less from donner, and no super kid. (that's me)

And others just don't care anymore about Singer's donnerish superman thing.

Oh I if WB's crazy enough to green light Singer's superboy film, I certainly think they're crazy enough for anything. A.N.Y.T.H.I.N.G.

But poorly thought out superman/supergirl films are nothing really new though. It's just such a shame we had to have another one to add to the list... sigh... so depressing.

superman should have to deal with the fact that, just as jonathan kent was his human father, Richard is Jason's. Richard will sacrifice himself to save Superman and Jason, Superman will note Jason's emotions and flashback to not being able to save his own father, become very pissed off, and then do something INCREDIBLE to save Richard. Hopefully it doesn't involve turning back time.

No, I'm not wrong. He only had 1 crystal (green) this one made the fortress and regular crystals. They are only keys set in different combinations, pick one then place it in another slot. Superman the movie 1978 wasn't organized, it only served as a guide to someone who thinks better.

Actually, I can't think of a single story thread I would want to see followed up on. Even the crystal thing strikes me as boring. The ONLY thing I can think of, which won't even count would be to have an explanation of how everything in SR didn't really happen. That's how bad I think SR was. It's not even worth watching a second time.
