A 300-esq Voltron film? That'd be a very cool route.
this grinds my gears.Untilteld:
Just FYI, in the script Fox apparently liked:
-Hunk is a middle-aged Arab man.
-Lance is a black guy in his 30's.
-Pidge is a 10 year old Japanese boy that doesn't know English.
Me thinks this movie will go down Speed Racer style.
Speed Racer was one of the most epic movies I've seen, you haven't seen it so don't judge me!![]()
going this route makes little sense for the script. And judging from the synopsis they are going with the ridiculous premise.
This is going to be a terrible movie.
300 worked for 300 because that was the style of the graphic novel really. It doesn't translate to Voltron, not even this half-baked version of Voltron they are doing.
It's hilarious to me filmmakers think they can copy what one film did well and that's all it needs to be a success.
Making it like 300 ignores why 300 worked and why it was good.

i'm just excited that they're making a Voltron movie. heck i would've been happy if it was a CG movie like Toy Story.
Oh boy, I've been reading some of the script, it is not good.![]()
I read the script like a year ago after El Mayimbe posted that stooge script review for the Latino Review site.
It's a horrible script and I will answer any questions about it.
Keith in this script is more like one of Jason Statham's schlocky interchangeable action characters like from DEATH RACE than the Keith we know.
Voltron does not appear at all until about the last 5 pages, and its utterly disapointing.
