I love the Surfer but I'm worried that he'll take too much of the spotlight. I have so many great FF comics that does NOT have a thing to do with the silver dude - Give my favorite team a chance to shine! Please!

Many of the greatest FF stories introduced characters that went on to become mainstays of the Marvel universe. The period that many consider to be the series' finest (roughly #45-60) introduced the Inhumans, Galactus & the Silver Surfer, the Black Panther...All of these are characters and concepts that have remained on the canvas pretty-much non-stop for 40 years.

If the FF movies end up launching another successful franchise or two, that's fine by me. I don't understand why some are fearful that there's automatically going to be a serious reduction in screen time for the FF...?
I really don't think the FF themselves are gonna lose that much screen time. Certainly no more than the average Superman or Spider-man movie gives over to their antagonists.
That's the basic structure of all superhero stories. And one hallmark of Marvel stories(at least in the early days) was that the villains were often just as interesting as the heroes.

A lot of fans felt that the 90's Batman films ended up as showcases for "celebrity" villains. Nicholson, Schwarzenegger, Pfeiffer, Carey, etc. and that this took too much of the spotlight away from Batman. I see their point.
I can see this happening even easier in a film that has FOUR lead characters, but I don't know, I'm still not too worried about it.

oh jesus christ

how you people even gather enough IQ to operate a computer amazes me

Yep pretty much.

To be fair your comment was pretty ******ed, the coming of galactus is one of the best stories in the history of the fantastic four. If you knew anything about them you'd know that whupping galactus is a nigh-on impossible task. The fact that the four manage it (and the movie is claimed to be based heavily on this story) could be seen as "a chance for them to shine". Seriously man, if you need to link to someone else's put down just to defend yourself there's not much hope for you :whatever:

"To be fair"
Yeah, that sums up your post.
Be sure to always toss "******ed" in there. That makes you look extra good.

Well after F4, I think a new direction, away from the direct F4 approach is a good idea, however I think people's expectations are too high, yes the trailer is cool, but it's just a short clip that doesn't show the improvement from the bad bits in the first film....
