Wal-Mart & The Hypesters

I never knew about that whole union stuff with Walmart, but truthfully, I don't care about that. I just don't like Walmart because it limits it's products (namely music) due to their own moral compass, and as such, is pushing thier morals on their customers (albeit in a very subtle way).

They're not doing it for the morals. They're doing it for the PR.

Whatever, the PR is to show that their company has morals and thus should be endorsed and supported by those who share those morals. Same thing, different reasons.

I hate Wal-Mart. They never sell anything I'd ever in a million years want to buy. Now, I know some Wal-Marts have better selection of items than others, but still, Wal-Mart over all is lacking. They have 847583975395793 billion mediocre products. I mean, seriously? I'm going to buy meat at the same place I can buy a car battery? No thanks. I'm the type of person who goes to the small mom and pop shops that have a specialty niche. To me, Wal-Mart caters to the dull, average citizen. I guess I am weird enough that Wal-Mart has nothing to offer me.

Plus, the really huge crime is that if you live in a small town and a Wal-Mart moves in, that town's economy goes down the toilet. Every store in town will close, because Wal-Mart sells everything. Shoe stores? Gone. Gorcery stores? Bye Bye. Clothing stores? Adios. I've seen it happen where I live and as a result I have to make a farther drive to shop at places that care about quality over quantity.

The PR is to pretend that they have morals so that way parents, the government, and religous groups won't go after them when a little kid goes out to buy 50 Cent's new CD uncensored or buying an AO rated version of Manhunt 2. Therefore, they won't hurt their business.

I hardly ever go to Wal-Mart.
I always shop at Target, where the stores are actually clean and I don't have to worry about getting run over by some lazy fatass on a rascal.

some people DO have to use motorized wheel chiars to get around you shouldn't critizies wal mart for THAT:ninja:

I wasn't talking about the people who actually need to use them. There are a number of people who just use them because they're LAZY and don't want to walk. I used to work retail, I saw it all the time. Those people suck, and if it contributes to the shopping experience it just gives me one more reason not to walk into wal mart.

We get those here to, they can walk but they zoom around instead being an idiot. Asking for help when they don't need it.

I don't mind the old people. It's the disproportionate amount of fat white trash.

and the smelly people period... doesn't matter what colour their skin is...

USE THE SHOWER!!! and deodorant too!!!

y'see, I no longer think of "white trash" as referring to just "white" people... I think it's meaning has spread a bit. For me, it just means trashy people in general.

Meh, Half the people who ***** about Wal-Mart are the same ones loitering in it at 2 am.

As for the whole anti-Union issue...why should there be Wal-Mart Unions? For a Union to work, you need to be able to effectively shut down business due to having an expertise that not just any person can do. Otherwise the Union has no leverage and management will simply fire them. Any pimply 16 year old kid could work at Wal-Mart. The only thing a Wal-MArt union would do is cause people to lose their jobs.
