Wal-Mart & The Hypesters

Yes you're right, but the foreign labor walmart uses, makes me think of this book.

 I'm management at a Wal-Mart, and the Open Door is SOOO much better than a union. Why the f**k does ANYONE want to PAY someone to TRY (not always successfully) to solve their problems, when you can cut out the middle man, and try to solve your OWN problem for FREE?

Yes, because we managers are all soulless money grubbing bastards who care nothing about our employees well being. :down

Even the best managers, at any job will not have the time of day to implement such a generous open door policy. "Oh Bob, I have to get this money deposited right away, but I'll stop to talk to you about your schedule". It's a fact of life, managers don't care, and I'm positive you're giving yourself far too much credit here.

I have and they did. It is the best place I've ever worked.

Oh really? How much workers comp did you get?

A Wal-Mart Supercenter just opened a week ago at my hometown. Pretty nice store, Subway in it, etc.

The thing is, I hope this Wal-Mart stays clean. I saw a store become real ****ty. So bad, they had to basically make it a Supercenter to clean it up.

Do you live in Novi?

No, it just opened in Three Rivers. I live in Kalamazoo.

I haven't run into any funky stores in a long time. Ours stays pretty clean, except for the bathrooms, which I avoid like the plague. Back when I was a kid though, in the old building before they built the Supercenter...THAT place was a real rathole. With real rats.

But again, it just depends on the management and their desire/want to keep the store clean/intact.

Like at my work, our store is extremely clean. We have bosses that make us clean when it needs it. I've gone to other Dunham's stores and they're really bad.

Ours got put up pretty quickly. Started during the winter, finished in early July. Opened August 8th.

I shop at Walmart...I only hate most of the other people that shop there. It is like imbred and bad parent heaven.

What the **** are people doing at Wal-Mart at 3 in the morning, with their kids?

Most people shop there because it has EVERYTHING. Clothes, food, electronics, you name it.

So does Target and its a million times better!

Target is better anyway.

The Target thats across the street from Tropical Park recently remodeled its interiors and it looks better than ever. The Wal-Mart at 87th still looks like crap!

Yeah, on Bird Road, that one is classy. The one at Dadeland Station is nice too. The rat trap of a Wal-Mart on 87th is disgusting, it's so sad Circuit City is right next to it, well there's the 99 Cent Stuff.

That shopping center in general kicks ass. You got Best Buy, Target, and Publix. And, that fish restaurant, Cayo Esquivel, is awesome. I highly recommend it.

They really need to fix the parking lot. I went to Circuit City like two weeks ago and it had just rained and the entire parking lot was flooded. It pissed me off. Its like the only parking lot that gets flooded.

The wal-mart near me is pretty nice. Whats even nicer is the $600,000 check my dad got from them.

Yes, the parking there is atrocious. Sadly, that's probably the best Circuit City in the area so I have to deal.

Yes, the parking there is atrocious.

And its just not the lot getting flooded. So many people shop at the damn Wal-Mart that its impossible to find a good parking space. You have to park far as hell from the store. I think I can find a better parking space at Dolphin Mall than at that shopping center.

I hate the lines at Wal-Mart. They are always so long and slow. What sucks, is that at my Wally World there are about 12 registers. But when it busy only 6 are in use? Why can't they ask for help and get rid of the line?

That's why I shop there late, late at night.

Just go to Target, man. Target is like Wal-Mart but calmer.
