I'm still irrationally annoyed that Wanda hasn't gone back to being a brunette. :funny: I don't know why this bothers me so much.

They are taking SW to the next level in this film. Gonna be great to see her unleashed.

Did anybody like what they did to Wanda here? I hated it. Didn't buy it for a second (and this has nothing to do with Olsen's acting).

It felt really off for me.

Like how could she go from an Avenger to a total villainess...

Who literally killed a lot of sorcerers. I know she lost herself with that book / sadness. But I think by the end of the movie, she didn't really redeem herself. I think with a couple more of scenes, they could have done that.

But i guess thats the Scarlet Witch movie is going to be about - Redemption.

Olsen’s acting was good here. She was convincing as a powerhouse character.

The title of that article alone is enough to dismiss it entirely. We're calling this movie sexist now? This movie definitely has flaws, but let's not be ridiculous now.

That being said,
Wanda's villainous turn was too sudden and jarring. I feel like it would have been better if instead of the monsters being her doing, have it them still be from repercussions of NWH, and have her join Strange and America at first. Then learning America has multiverse travel powers, having her try to reason with America to no avail, and then maybe going to more drastic measures to get her kids back.

It wouldn't have been much of an improvement, but at least there would be a gradual arc there.

Maybe it's just me but
Wanda turning into a villain really isnt surprising. Shes incredibly powerful AND being corrupted. Throw in all the tragedy and trauma in her plus finding out her only source of happiness isn't real and shes alone with NO support system, like how many people would be OK after that?

True, but I think it's more that we sort of missed a scene where she
jumped to the point of murdering America to absorb her power instead of trying to reason with her at first. She hadn't even met her in person and immediately decided to kill her?

I don't know, it felt forced to me.

The post credit scene in WandaVision kinda shows how far she's going imo. Also her experience with Agatha kinda alludes to it.

I didn't hate it but I was saddened by it. I think they've done a better job setting her frame of mind in the film than another franchise did with their character....

I just wonder what does the future hold for Wanda and Olsen....surely this isnt the last we'll see of her.

yeah i think they ruined her character with this movie. Olsen did a great job of acting but the character is too far gone in my mind.

It was missing Vision. A Vision appearance would have regain her perspective from the Darkhold.
