Holy ****. Has Lilandra been having a secret affair with Gladiator? And for how long?

thats awesome. from cripple to uh, gladiator..she upgraded herself. oh and that cover is horrid

Brandon Peterson's covers have been bothering me ever since I first noticed him on the covers of Divided We Stand #1 & 2. However, I've checked out his website, and some of his older art is actually pretty nice.

Then I realized that his pencils are still good. His coloring is just weird. Rachel has too much glow (not to mention one of her arms is uneven, but that's a penciling error), and that thing he does with metal is just annoying. Apparently Lilandra and Korvus are wearing mirrors.

Korvus looks like an ugly version of Wolverine there. They got his hair (which should look more like the Shi'ar feathers) all wrong

Holy ****. Has Lilandra been having a secret affair with Gladiator? And for how long?
Well as his empress, he is obligated to do whatever she wants and she would go months, possibly years without physically seeing Xavier at times. Girl has her needs

"Gladiator, your empress has a jonesing for a bonesing. Satisfy me. NOW!"

No wonder I never much like female characters, they're even worse than the manga ones.

DnA interview with interesting news.

1) Will the Starjammers interact with any of the cosmic crew? Getting Ch'od and Rocket in the same room just sounds golden.

The Starjammers and Guardians of the Galaxy will be undertaking a mission together so the chances of some fur flying are high!

2) Any possibility of Rachel Summers staying in space and joining the Guardians? The Phoenix Force has always felt like it belongs more in the cosmic books than the X-books, and it would certainly lend them some valuable power. And let’s face it, the team could use more women.

We're going to talk to editor Nick Lowe about that right now!

1) As a huge fan of the Starjammers (particularly Polaris), I, like many other fans of these characters, are excited and grateful to know that after nearly three years, the Shi'ar storyline is finally heading towards its big ending with “X-Men: Kingbreaker” and “War of Kings.” However, it's unclear to us what kind of role the Starjammers will play in the event. Will they have more of a main role, or will they be supporting characters?

They are definitely front and center and play a significant role in the course of the story.

2) Also, some characters in the event happen to be loosely related to each other (for example, Polaris is Luna's biological aunt and Crystal's former sister-in-law). Will we see the Starjammers and Inhumans interact often during the event?

The series opens with a wedding, and families do tend to get together for weddings. The Starjammers are at this particular wedding precisely because of Polaris's family ties. However, weddings often end in a fight, in tears, or in someone's uncle getting drunk and making an idiot of himself with one of the bridesmaids. Guess which one of those things happens at this
wedding?

the rest is here

X-MEN: KINGBREAKER #2

STORY BY Christopher Yost
ART BY Dustin Weaver
COVER BY Brandon Peterson
PUBLISHER: Marvel Comics

RELEASE DATE: Wed, January 21st, 2009

Marvel Girl, Korvus and Lilandra are the only resistance to Vulcan’s reign, but Vulcan aims to end their rebellion. With Havok, Polaris and rest of the Starjammers in prison, they don’t stand to get much help. The Shi’Ar Empire is expanding under Emperor Vulcan’s reign… Come see the road to the WAR OF KINGS!

My hatred of substituting apostrophes for vowels in words to make then sound "alien" aside, that preview has me looking forward to the next issue.

For a second, I thought I was seeing something drawn by CLAMP.

Not enough effeminate bishonen to be CLAMP art.

But enough floating flower petals, though the muscles and aliens make the one-second deja vu disppear just as quickly.

Thats sounds very medieval for some people called themselves 'Inhumans'

you'd that when Ronan gave up to the Inhumans Crystal was relieved of her forced marriage.

Hm, wonder how the 'Jammers and Inhumans meet up.

Good question, especially considering Kingbreaker #4 is set to be released March 18 2009 and War of Kings #1 is set to be released March 4th 2009. One would think WoK would take place post Kingbreaker not before the final issue... but we don't know that for sure yet.
