Warriors Three Cast

it's hard not to think that he is a prick in real life, or rather, difficult.

I guess he's okay being in average mainstream movies than to be in movies like Lord of the Rings or Thor.

Well, I just hope this new Dallas fellow works wonders with it.

its too bad for stuart i wonder if he was late and it caused him to get fired if there was any other reasons and all that. ITs too bad i was curious to see how he would make of the role. But i wish the new guy the best of luck.

IF THAT IS TRUE that he was 6 hours late for a dress rehersal, well then..

Ok, I also thought screen tests also occured before they hand an actor the part. I know RDJ had to screen test for the role of Tony Stark before Marvel signed off on him.

He was already cast. He already did his screen test.

This was a costume fitting and rehearsal or something.

Maybe Townsend just figured that Thor wont possibly be able to top the last comicbook adaption he was in? :hehe:

Seriously though - what an absolute idiot. It's going to be fun keeping an eye out for his upcoming projects to see what he's going to do instead of Thor.

Once Theron dumps his butt he will take any role he can get his hands on.

He stunk up the place as Lestat and was barely interesting as Dorian Gray, gets replaced off Lord of the Rings and now Thor. Besides these things, banging Theron is probably his only claim to fame.

I guess some people dont realise the opportunites given to them until they're gone.

Ha, sucks to be that guy. Now he has to do a new fitting for Dallas, too.

Thunder! Drama is already brewing on the set of "Thor"!
Actor Stuart Townsend has been replaced by Joshua Dallas in the film adaptation of the comic book.
A source tells "Extra" Townsend acted like a "prima donna" on set, and director Kenneth Branagh met with the producers to immediately recast his role of Fandral, an ally of Norse god Thor.
On Saturday, Paramount told "Extra" they didn't know about Townsend leaving the cast, but AP confirmed the news.
Townsend, 37, starred in "Queen of the Damned" and is the boyfriend of Academy Award-winning actress Charlize Theron.
The movie co-stars Natalie Portman, Anthony Hopkins, Rene Russo and Tom Hiddleston and is expected to be released in spring 2011.

Funny how they can't mention Townsend w/o also mentioning Theron. She really is his sole claim to fame right now.

Ken doesn't play around :hehe:

Wow...first LOTR now Thor? This guy clearly has no interest in having a career does he?

:o

I guess after scoring the gorgeous Charlize Theron, he doesn't really care of he never makes another movie or not. :hehe:

Video interview with Ray Stevenson

He talks about the first day of filming and how he got the job, among a lot of other things

What's happening with Thor?
Ray Stevenson: "It's the first day of filming today!"
Did you film?
Ray Stevenson: "Oh my god, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, we're all up there. It's very, very exciting. In fact I didn't think I was going to make it. They made special dispensation and got me out of jail. But I had full regalia on today."
How do you play someone who's that big?
Ray Stevenson: "I've got a huge fat suit and all this stuff. I'm going to be shedding a lot of pounds in that thing. But no, just great fun. And Kenneth Branagh's fantastic."
You worked with him before as an actor.
Ray Stevenson: "Yeah, Theory of Flight I think it was, a long, long time ago. I loved him then, and then I got the call out of the blue for this and was completely blown away by it and jumped at the chance to work with him again. And I'm so pleased I did – and here we are."
You don't have to know the Thor mythology to understand the film, do you?
Ray Stevenson: "It's based on the Thor comic book. It's definitely the Marvel comic book and the origins of the Norse legends. What is actually behind the Norse legends is what's explored through the Marvel comic book. You know, the existence of Asgard and the nine realms. And it's more sort of in the high realms of intergalactic space and planets, and then… It's very exciting."
What's the tone Kenneth Branagh's going for?
Ray Stevenson: "Epic. There's visits to Earth as well. There's the wonderful Stellan Skarsgard, Natalie Portman, and all, but the presence of gods or the previous presence of gods, but it's a great, great… It's the sort of film you just want to see as a kid. You come out, 'Oh my god, flight of fantasy here we go!' It's that escapism again, and Marvel and Disney are putting their weight behind it, putting a lot of money behind it. It's the first day of filming. It couldn't be more exciting."
Can you describe what you did? Are you allowed to talk about it?
Ray Stevenson: "I couldn't because it's not the start of the movie. It's a bit later on, so it's just, 'And then this and then this…'"
And a Rome movie – is there going to be one?
Ray Stevenson: "I don't know. I've read a script. I believe there's a script I've read a version of. Who knows? There's the right people who have the right motivation to try and make it happen, it would be wonderful if Pullo got to ride again. It wouldn't be very tidy. It might be a bit bloody. If Pullo gets to ride again, it would be great."
