The Dark Knight WB Going GaGa Over TDK!?

And here it is:
Over the last several weeks, I've been getting emails from industry insiders who say that the word on the street is that TDK is really, REALLY good. So good in fact, that the folks over in Burbank are going nuts over it -- and I mean going nuts in a good way. Check out this report BOF got overnight.
The source of this report has proven to be legit, FYI BOF'ers...

"I'm a production assistant with a company that had some business at Warner Bros. today. During my errand there, talk about THE DARK KNIGHT was everywhere, so I thought I'd send in an update.
Nolan's director's cut has been screened [As recently confirmed by the director himself -- Jett] and word is that even the hard nose execs that are typically hard to please thought it was amazing! I heard the run time is right around two and a half hours right now with only minor polishes to come.
The person I talked to who was supposedly at the screening when Nolan showed it to everyone said Nolan -- who is typically nervous entering screenings -- was nervous before this one, but came out with a huge smile on his face along with everyone else in the screening. So just thought I'd let you and the BOF faithful know that this thing is just about ready to go."

Could this be total BS made up by a fan? Could it be coming from a plant? Sure. Nonetheless, it certainly jives with what I've been hearing from people I know are "in the know." Bottom line: TDK is shaping up to be perhaps the best Batman -- and maybe even comic book/super hero -- movie of all time.

I can buy that. I never doubted Nolan and the posse. Although I'm going to be rather surprised if the running time indeed is around 150 minutes. I mean they are not telling an origin story this time around. Everything is set straight from the get go. I guess there's just so much stuff going on...I'm not complaining or anything. The more the merrier!

TDK will deliver! This summer I will fear The Knight! :brucebat:

I think this is truthful as well, otherwise I wouldn't be getting goosebumps right now.:woot: :brucebat:

Thats cool and I hope it is a genuine article

The anticipation from fans alone is enormous at the moment and I imagine afters Heaths passing WB were scratching their heads hoping Nolan would deliver.

I think he will

I agree with what you say.

But i dont know, maybe this is a fake leak of info by WB to hype us more about it.

ooooo things are really getting exiting now aren't they? :woot:

2 and half hours long?!?!

FANTASTIC! If its true that is

I have hd no doubt this would be the blockbuster of the year let along the best superhero movie of the year ever since i saw the casting and then the second trailer!

Hulk and Iron man won't have nothing on this movie for me

I hope TDK won't be seen as a great comicbookmovie only, but also as a fanastic movie in general.

If Aaron Eckhart can pull off Two Face well I think he might stand a chance of an Oscar nod.

It would be a really diverse role and if it is true he is filming all his Two Face scenes twice each he could perform something incredible. The Oscars rarely give nods to Comic book based films though which is a shame

:woot: I'm so pumped! I certainly believe this story could be legit...but I've never doubted that this movie will be AWESOME and much better than Begins!

This is amazing to hear. Like I've been telling my family time and time again, this truly is the Year of the Bat. :brucebat:

Holy Crap!! A massive corporate conglomerate have expressed positive sentiments about one of their largest investments during a huge advertising campaign for said product!!1?!!

Who would of ever thought?!?!?!?!:wow::wow::wow::wow:

Gog damn it regwec, you just made my lolometer explode :D

Unless the narrative flows, I'm betting at least 10-15 mins will be chopped out of the 2.5 hour directors cut.

I doubt it's a plant. A film like this wouldn't need one.

Even if it isn't a plant, you're not going to catch WB saying anything on the negative side about one of their leading franchises.

I think so too. It's a first cut apparently. They still need to work on it. I think the film will end up being 134 minutes, just like BB.

Batmania in '08...

(and those corporate types are right once in awhile. ;) )

That's pretty much what I was thinking.
