WB had blunder after blunder this past year with Posiedon being the biggest,
But Levy just doesn't feel right. I mean it isn't as though he has ever directed something serious....his resume is all comedy.
Meanwhile Hulk 2 gets the grit of Louis Letierier, and the genious both comic and dark and serious Favreau.
Wheadon would have been spot on for WW..... Goyer may not have been perfect for Flash, but Levy seems Way off the road

t:....I'm glad DC is finally taking action to get more of their characters on the big screen like Marvel, but this is definitely a serious RISK. Flash might not have the same iconic status as the big two of the DC universe, but they shouldn't mess with it. Its tone is probably much lighter than Batman, and there are lots of directors out there that could still make it a serious film. But Shawn Levy, a guy best known for kiddie blockbusters, that's just going right back to Batman and Robin. So I can understand why so many fans are upset. Comedy and/or light hearted moments are good in moderation as long as it stays loyal to the character, like they've done with Spiderman. This is meant for another thread, but Goyer might do better with Green Lantern because it has the potential to be darker than the Flash.
