I don't think Batman vs Superman is going to have the time to do a romantic arc. Especially if they bring in a number of supporting Batman characters so, in that light, what about this.

No love triangle. No trying to build one. No full-on romances.

Just have Lois and Bruce as an item. Sort of in the background.

When Bruce comes to Metropolis he and Lois always get together for dinner. Lois visits Bruce occasionally in Gotham.

Have it in the background as a given. Bruce and Lois are more than just acquaintances.

No.

Lois is already doing much better with Clark. She's not the shallow rock-star chaser, we've seen in the past.

No, but some territorial flirting by Bruce, yep.

No. I think MoS already established a connection between Lois and Clark.

I wouldn't think that Snyder/Goyer are making any plans to turn this into 'This Means War: Superhero Edition'.

Batman has already boned Martha. If he boned Lois as well, Superman will surely break his "no kill" rule. Again.

It's like tobias purposefully finds way to irritate me with his choice in posts.lol

I don't think anyone can think up a good reason as to why Lois and Bruce should ever get involved romantically, past or present.

Lois has to be involved in someone. If Lana arrives, I doubt Lois will be able to keep Clark. Bruce is the next best thing. And Lois' age is closer to Bruce's age than Clark's age.

Lois will be involved with Clark. What we saw in MOS was the very beginning of their relationship. And why the hell would Lana arrive?

Lana arrived in the other Superman films. And she has a huge fanbase thanks to the smallville tv show. Why not? And they showed her in MOS, as a young'n. She's relevant.

I'm not saying never introduce her but I don't see why you'd want to do it in this movie, which already has a fairly big supporting cast (Batman, Lois, Perry, Lex and probably at least one more villain). Introducing ANOTHER love interest for Superman at this stage makes no sense.

True, I don't think there is room for more characters yet. Maybe in the films that follow. Lana would become especially relevant if Lois is killed off.

1. Why would they kill off Lois?

2. No offense, but you seriously think that Lana will come into the franchise as a major player just because she had a fanbase from "Smallville"? It's no secret that outside of her fan groups, she was not cared for by general fans of the show and she has never been as important to the Superman mythos as Lois Lane has been and even IF, in the worst case scenario, they were to kill off Lois, they would probably replace her with Wonder Woman due to thew New 52 thing.

No Lana
No Wonder Woman
Definitely no Lois and Bruce
Unfortunately there is little doubt that any secondary female character in the movie will be better looking than Lois. GAWD I hate when they do that ala Superman 3 and Smallville.

Amy Adams is closer to Affleck's age so they'd make a more natural couple.

But honestly Bruce can do alot better than 'Plain Jane' Lois Lane. Maybe if it was the comic book iteration of Lois Lane.

Why is it that whenever the topic of romance comes up involving Lois, people feel the need to criticize Lois's age, or Amy's looks for that matter. I don't know about some of you, but a lot of us and the GA sincerely believe that Amy is one beautiful woman, definitely better than most of the actresses that were on the list of candidates for the role imho.

And even though Amy is older in real life, I think it was said that she's playing a Lois that's around Clark's age, who is 33 in MOS.

She doesn't have a "huge fanbase", the overwhelming majority of Smallville fans despise her.

No, personally I wouldn't mind seeing Vickie Vale in the movie (a better version than the one Burton gave us). She can be a different kind of reporter to play off Lois. She can also be Bruce's love interest (if they go that route, which I'm not convinced that they will).

But Clark and Lana grew up together. Wonder Woman is a complete stranger. I'd put more money on Clark and Lana being a couple than Clark and WW. In fact I'd bet huge money on WW never making an appearance in a MOS film. You'd be a brave man to write off the notion of Lana joining MOS. And why kill off Lois? Ah, why not? Death gives more drama to any story, especially when its a main character.

The OP obviously missed the ANVIL-SIZED indicators/hints that Lois and Clark were together that MoS dropped, especially at the end.
