The Dark Knight What are your biggest Dark Knight Fears?

The Tumbler wasn't a peice of crap! Sure, it didn't realy look like a Batmobile, but it got the job done.....

.....and kicked a$$ doing it!

Agreed

Irrational fears really aren't my bag.

I have no fears about this movie. I haven't heard enough to be worried about yet. Everything I've heard has been great, but I haven't heard much.

Why worry? It's not like I don't have more important things to stress out over.

Like the Hamburgler coming to your side of the street?

We're expecting so much after "Batman Begins" that my biggest fear is that we'll be disappointed in "The Dark Knight" because our expectations are too high.

My biggest fear is that I will know to much about The Dark Knight before it hits theaters. :(

So keep an open mind. That's what destroyed the prequels for the SW fans. When you're 8, ANH seems brilliant. When you're 30, it's kinda boring. Expecting that when you sit in a theater and watch "The Phantom Menace" that you'll feel the way you felt when your Daddy took you to see "The Empire Strikes Back" is more than you can realistically ask of any movie.

I guess my point is, that's something YOU can control for yourself. Don't be afraid of it, deal with it. Now, just because you and I keep an open mind, doesn't mean that the next person is gonna enjoy TDK, but you know what? To hell with that person.

Nobody's opinion matters but mine. :word:

We all will, my friend. We all will. But knowing what's going to happen, and actually seeing it onscreen? Two different things.

Also, Nolan may yet outwit us. His kung fu is strong.

Eh...I think you could've used better examples. The SW OT are still considered great films, no matter what age you're watching them. TPM was just pure kiddy-crap, plain and simple.

I fear that we wont get enough of the Harvey/Bruce friendship. It is essential to the fight between Two-Face and Batman in the third one, I also fear that maybe Batman wont be the one that causes Jokers Transformation from man to Permaclown.

That's about as comic-accurate as Joker killing Batman's parents.

Not nearly.

I feel the exact opposite. The Long Halloween, the greatest Two-Face story ever, had no friendship between Harvey and Bruce, and it worked beautifully. He was a friend of Batman, not Bruce Wayne. Just look at the way you phrased it, a Harvey/Bruce friendship is essentail for the Two-Face/Batman fight? Harvey shouldn't know who Batman is, therefore what would effect would their friendship have after he's scarred? Batman is the one going after Two-Face, not Bruce Wayne. Besides, his friendship with Batman makes more sense. Batman, Gordon, and Dent make a pact to bring down Joker and whatever other villains are in this movie. Harvey Dent never struck me as the kinda guy to be hanging around the kinda person Bruce Wayne pretends to be.

According to the comics, the Red Hood, in trying to escape Batman's grasp at the chemical factory robbery, fell against a faulty railing and then fell into the vat. It wasn't Batman's fault, but he was definitely involved, and Joker does at least partially blame Batman for the accident. So it is comic-accurate.

I fear that the action scene's will be still shot by that ******ed kid who could not hold the camera straight.

Like Miami Vice.:o

Please get your bi-focals, contacts, etc etc fixed, you could actually see what was happening in MV, Can't say that about BB

Yeah I could see too much. Either a Jamie Foxx shower scene or a Colin Farrell shower scen would've been plenty. Thanks, Mike :whatever:

That's partly how it goes (I say partly because it's not definitive what happened). I was referring more to your comment about Batman being the direct cause of Joker's accident.

My only worry really is ledger and the fact that if they make the movie too real. Let me explain...

With ledger...

I like many of you were very worried when they heard he was cast as the clown prince but later began to accept it and even see it from nolans point of view. Then.... the interviews he's done.... Got me worried the way he sounded and answered questions got me very worried not just on the mask thing but it sounded like he was like a boy at recess excited instead of classy mature actor excited. Whats REALLY got me worried isnt everything i mentioned fully But the fact that my meter as far as if I think ledger is going to do well goes up and down w/ every bit of news.

TO BE HONEST... THAT SHOULDNT BE HAPPENING.

With the realism

I'm not going to go too much into this cause its already been covered. Batman Begins was a great film and a great way to start out. They can go in any direction from this great foundation they have made. I just fear that they are going to oversaturate it with realism. Honestly we know batman is an ordinary man in a suit. But we shouldnt see him that way Too much. I like the Laz pit angle w/ ras but if they were to throw that in now w/ all the other realism in the movie it would be like a mudd stain on a masterpiece painting.

those are my two biggest fears

^^^^As far as the realism complaint goes, the only ones going too far with that are the fans. I think Nolan has and will have just the right balance of fantasy and reality and not go overboard with realism, like some of the fans do.

I didn´t get that vibe at all. It wasn´t like he said, "that´s so awesome dude!" or something. He was specific about how the character is meant to be portrayed and how he intends to approach and why he´s excited about it. The way a classy mature actor does.
