The Dark Knight Rises What do you not like about the movie?

Another question, where did the mob go? Surely the 'Dent Act' could not have been as effective as it was made out to be in a crime infested city such as Gotham. That's the one thing that gives Batman some purpose which is crime itself. They overdid it with the whole 8 years gone plot IMO. He goes that long without fighting crime until Bane shows up. It was just flat to me.

Nope. It was that effective. Silly, unrealistic, but that's what was supposed to have happened. The film actually comes out and says "The mob is gone".

By the time TDK gets started the mob is at a fraction of its power, by the time it's over Joker and Two-Face have pretty much wiped the rest of it out.

So, if anything, the Dent Act didn't have too much to do in terms of finishing off the mob. Remember, all of the criminals Harvey locked up in TDK stayed locked up because of the lie Gordon and Batman tell.

Things I didn't like. Hmmm...that incredible lackluster Man of Steel teaser that's about it

I thought the teaser was just fine. It showed some scenes, it showed the suit, and it's telling people a new Superman movie is coming next summer.

At least it wasn't just a Superman symbol slowly coming at you, with voice over work in the background.

I liked the footage but I wanted to see more Superman less scenery shots. No one even knew it was Superman til the Man of Steel popped up.

I was so excited about the BAT vs HEMTT/TUMBLERS chase. If you blinked twice it was already finished. Not to mention the use of the Turret Tumblers demise twice, both using poor shots and quick cuts. Didn't even use that cool shot from the trailers with it exploding next to the Hemtt. All that work in PA seemed to go right out the door. Here's hoping for some deleted scenes or some stunt/alternate angle footage on the blu-ray like The Dark Knight had.

not enough night time footage..would have loved to see a burning gotham skyline...the battle at the end would have looked even better at night (maybe not as clear)..

the only significant night scene didnt make sense...bane escaped on motorcycle during the daytime with an 8 second timer..next thing you know its night time, bats shows up and the clock is still running..

Aside from the whole Blake storyline aspect, I really didn't like the "reveal" towards the end. To me, it basically weakened the overall plot line involving Bane.

It made sense that Bane would want to carry out Ras' plan to show that he was indeed worthy of being in the League of Shadows, but then when you find out that [BLACKOUT]Talia is really the one behind the plot it 1) ruined Bane as a main villan for me and made him basically a henchmen and 2) didn't make sense given that Talia herself said she hated her father for excommunicating them. I don't understand why it was until Ras died, all of a sudden she wanted to fullfil his his legacy and exact revenge.[/BLACKOUT]

Only real complaints are some of the transitions aren't perfect and the story needed a bit more time to really develop. That aside, the action/effects/performances/score etc was all fantastic. Wouldn't change much.

Another thing i had a gripe with was how Blake figured out who Bruce is? I felt that was handled poorly they should have had some scenes of him investigating or researching. then go to Bruce's house.

I absolutely hated that scene. He basically knew [BLACKOUT]Bruce was Batman[/BLACKOUT] because of a certain look?? BS and lazy.

And not to mention how easy Bruce seemed to admit this! Didn't sit right with me at all.

And the "[BLACKOUT]anyone could be Batman[/BLACKOUT]" line. [BLACKOUT]Bruce IS Batman and it shouldn't have been something that he was just willing to give up.[/BLACKOUT]

The friggin Bat voice....still! It ruined the whole last bit with Gordon for me and I could barely tell what he was shouting at Bane in City Hall.... ugh Bale was golden till he stuck the suit on and opened his mouth!

Totally, the meticulous thinking behind the previous two, to cover his identity and such, and then some stranger just basically goes hey your Batman and he's like yeah I am you could be him too!

Ok,so, in BB they extesively explain the origin of the suit, and scarecrows mask. In TDK they explain both jokers makeup and his suit. But wtf to the catwoman suit?!? It juat appears on her one day? And the bane mask seems way to high tech to be created in a prison pit

I am so utterly disappointed with this film. I loved Bane, despite him being LESS comprehensible after re-recording his lines (and if you have seen the prologue you will know that they definitely did redo his voice). I wrote a list of my criticisms in the review thread but mostly it can be summed up as way too many gaping plot holes, too much exposition, several characters are very hard to understand.

Perhaps worst of all is that they have introduced John Blake as a new character then really made the entire movie about him. A vague quick reference is made to Gordon's wife leaving him and taking the kids, but nothing more. Gordon spends most of the movie in a f***ing bed! He was wasted in this film.

This was easily the worst of the three. I hope my mind changes upon a 2nd viewing but it really has left me feeling short changed. It feels very different to the previous two and does not follow on well.

Not being able to tell what bane and some of the other characters are saying at times. I also wished they had shown what Alfred was up to.

Indeed, the trailer was fine IMO and it did manage to get me excited about the movie.

Why was Bruce from the start walking with a cane? I mean sure he wasn't quite active as Batman but still he must've been doing moderate exercise.

How Bane gets quickly taken down from a blast and there's no dead body of him later.

The idea that Blake becoming the next Batman (only Bruce is the one only Batman), I'm fine if he becomes Robin or Nightwing.

And how did Bruce get to Gotham in such a short time after leaving the pit? he had no money he was broke!!

didnt like how the Bat was somehow recovered at the end for Fox and friends to examine.....does the other people with Fox also mean that the city/people know batman survived and that he was Bruce Wayne??

ugh..holes and more holes
