The Dark Knight What do you think? Joker, live or die?

Should the Joker live or die in The Dark Knight?

  • The Clown Prince lives!

  • Eh,kill him off.

  • It doesn't really matter what they do.

I love the X-Men but X3 was absolutely terrible.

It didn't have to be so, but yeah, it was.

But that happened because of a number of horrific factors, which hopefully wouldn't happen for a third Batman film under the Batman Begins banner.

He'll live in this movie then well assume he's dead by the end of the 3rd film...

I actually bet there is going to be a big finale where Two Face is about to kill the Joker in revenge, Batman talks Dent out of doing it, showing that not all is lost with Harvey, and they both go to Arkham. I can dig it.

Joker should be locked up in Arkham, but he should be so beyond insanity that he's actually dead calm. Give him a terrifying stillness. Just a smile.

Don´t make the mistake of killing Batman's arch nemesis like SM3 made the worst decision in killing Spider-Man´s arch nemesis

The Green Goblin?

... and yeah, keep the laughing b*stard alive.

My thoughts exactly. Venom was WAY too good for his fate.
I do get annoyed at how,in almost every comic book movie, the villain MUST die at the end. Just once,I'd like to see him live to menace the hero for future films.

This isn't Burton nor Raimi, Joker will live.

if they kill batman.. its ok that they kill the joker..

We all know that they day Batman Dies is the day The Joker dies.. they will end up killing etcother
Like Superman and Doomsday

I thought I read somewhere a couple years ago that the Joker and Two-face was supposed to play out over two films, Batman 2 & 3?

I just hope they don't end up on the same track as the Superman-movies with Lex Luthor being the main baddie for 5 friggin' movies.

Joker should end up in arkham in this one, then have Two-Face as the main threat for half of the next one, then Joker escapes from Arkham and all three fight towards the end, Joker seemingly dies (though we all know he doesn't) and Two-Face goes to Arkham.

I want him to live. Either put in Arkham or "presumably be dead" as done in the comics and BTAS.
Batman '89 stated very much he was dead. I don't want that.

Hopefully Nolan or Wb doesn't decide to kill him off either in this film or the next. I'd like to see over the next two films to almost have the Joker be a ringleader for the other villains through out Gotham

At the end of most films like this the bad guy always dies in the end. So,should the Joker meet the same fate in TDK?
I wouldn't mind at all seeing him live. The Joker's my second favorite baddie after Venom.

Heaven forbid! We will have waited 18 years for him to return to the silver screen...only to have him killed off? Not logical.

how can u compare batman 89 with batman begins, apart from they are batman, 89 was a German expressionist film, i think its great so what joker dies big deal its not like killing batman , u cant keep locking him in arkham boring! hes so insane arkham wont do anything for him, time to move on if u keep bringin him back it loss of interest will happen, i can see heath ledger being more of "lost soul" joker , this is why i think he will live as where jack nick was an evil piece of work, i would have loved to have seen bill dee as two face, i just think if u want dark not for children stuf this is where its at. jus my thoughts. :yay:

I would like to to Joker die at the end of the 3rd movie, as long as it fits the story.

Killing the Joker was the biggest problem with the 80's.

The Joker is living proof that bad guys don't always win, but neither do the good guys. Keep The Joker Alive.

How many times did he die in the 80s?

Id like to see the question of his death remain just that... ala Ra's in BB. Sometimes ambiguity works very well
