I know what kind of movie I'm gonna be seeing.
Katsuro said:Yeah, but what about those who drive to the theater, look at the big list of movies currently playing, and only see "The Dark Knight"? Or those who read in the paper a list of what's playing and dont see Batman written anywhere in there? What about those who dont watch much TV to see TV spots, and dont go to the theater enough to see trailers and posters.

People will know the same way they know that a Bond movie is a Bond movie.

criticalcasting said:I'm split on that. I agree I think the "2" would've cleared up things for anyone who still has not seen Begins thinking it was just another Batman sequel and not a restart. The "2" would have said "this is the new Batman, this is number 2 in this series and there is no connection between this Batman and the previous ones".
But I do like "The Dark Knight" (without "Batman") because I think it is going in the direction that they sound like they wanted to. For me it also says "hey people you're not that stupid, we don't need to keep saying Batman THIS and Batman THAT". I'm sure they just need to show the Bat-symbol and everything is clear for any misinterpretation of any heavily armored medieval person. I acutally like the exclusion of "Batman". It sounds like a series of books/stories rather than Batman movie title 1, Batman movie title 2, etc. For me, it says to the public, "this guy needs no intro, you're not children anymore, and this is for you more mature adults, a good action-drama-thriller movie" time for you to enjoy, the kiddies can have the other superheroes to enjoy. Egh, I'm sure I'm translating it WAAAAY too much, but I guess what I'm tryign to say is "YAY! I'm content!" I'm sure somewhere Batman is not complaining either.
