Wasn't that Captain America footage supposed to be put on the internet a month back? Did I miss it or something? I fee like that would've been something that wouldn't have escaped my notice....

I know you guys remember hearing about it. Did I miss it or something?

Never showed up. I'm hoping it is part of the alternate opening on the DVD.

That one part is probably better and more exciting than the rest of the movie!

I want it now!!!

I wouldn't say all that...The Incredible Hulk was a pretty bad ass movie. I saw it twice. I'm just saying that I would very much LOVE to see that footage.

I think it would only serve to enhance an already fantastic film. :bh:

Alright man...To each his own I guess...I didn't like it that much...I thought it wasn't that good...But maybe that footage would change my mind...Though I don't care for the movie or it's DVD all that much...

Well thank God you're here, then!

^(with hand raised in the air) "Preach on brother...can I get an AMEN!!"

:whatever: at this unnecessary post.
Anyway, I heard about the footage as it being what inspired Bruce to somewhat become the Hulk......but I haven't seen it yet. Here's hoping it will be on the extended dvd later.

The first fight scene between Hulk and the enhanced Blonsky was probably among the best fight scenes in a comic movie as of yet.

Especially when Hulk kicked him into a tree.:woot:

OMG...yes! That fight was sooooo bad ass. The whole time I was thinking that dude is totally going "Captain America" on the Hulk! Check his Super Soldier moves! After that fight I was even more amped for a Captain America movie. I can't wait to see him do that sort of stuff to Nazi's! :woot:

I thought the Captain America 'footage' literally consisted of just being an old photograph of Cap on the wall outside Ross' office; LL's words at the time were 'He's in there somewhere'.

Someone posted an image of a still from a bootleg that backed this up. (Hell, I should know - I didnt know it was from a bootleg and when I re-posted it, I got banned)

I highly doubt there's anything more than that.

I thought it was rumored that while in the Arctic, the Hulk broke off a chunk of ice that contained good ol' Cap.

I thought that all sprung from an idea someone had on these boards about what they hoped to see, when the news that Cap would be in the movie in some form, came out??

More and more people took the idea on board and it kinda snowballed.

Yeah, SuperB is right. SO MANY rumors popped up about Cap in this movie that you was in for a letdown from the beginning just because some of them were so dreamy but yet you kind of had a feeling it wasn't true. If they had a scene where Cap was seen in the Arctic and Hulk broke him out, there'd be a huge sale on adult diapers from geeks have geekasms! But you never know...they may have one scene like that on the deluxe dvd.

Leterrier said it himself that we would see Captain America in TIH but we all knew this was impossible as no actor has been casted for Cap so people came up with ideas that maybe we might see the shield or a figure frozen in ice in the arctic scene then someone said they saw a Cap potrait and someone else said there was a headline saying something like "Steve Rogers Found!" on a back of a newspaper that Banner was reading. Cap appearing in the film was just a bunch of rumours, but it is true that Leterrier said we would see him.

I saw the shield in Iron Man but honestly, I didn't see anything in the Hulk.

Well more then anything it was talked about

the "Program Ross refered to with one Success"

Blonsky then refered to it as the SS serum, and Ross seems a bit surprised he knew of it...

Then at the end Stark makes what appears to be a joke about putting that program on Ice.... Captain America being the one who was lost in the Arctic

But in reality I just don't think it fit or tied in well enough. Really Bruce goes to the north pole to try and kill himself and finds Cap'n.... to what end and what a weird coincidence.

I was one of those who speculated they might have the Hulk replace Namor as being the one to help Caps frozen body on it's way (this was based on the scripts description of the suicide scene ending with a huge shelf of ice falling into the ocean after the transformation, as well as LL's comments on it).

I didn't think we'd get a good view of Cap (how could we?), just a glimpse of some human shape frozen in the ice as it fell.

When the DVD is out, assuming the scene is in there in full somewhere, we'll find out just what he meant.

Personally I think that Cap was never in the Arctic Scene. Remember Feige saying at the New York Comic Con that they will be releasing a video of Banner's journey (Arctic Scene) as he has been around the entire world but then we had Leterrier saying Cap would be in the scene (god knows why he said that) and then without releasing the Arctic Scene without Cap to be seen with fans being furious with Leterrier and possibly Marvel, they decided to leave it and CGI in Cap and release it on DVD/Blu-Ray.

Leterrier definitely mentioned a scene cut from the movie showing up online eventually. They mentioned the scene was to intense for a PG-13 audience, but he said it would show up online, it might be a day, a week or a month after the release of the movie. No one would know when or where, but it would happen. And he also mentioned a 16 minute fight scene which was later deemed as a mis-quote. He seemed to mentioned a lot of things that just turned out untrue. It's like he's trying to become a politician.

We just have to wait for the dvd. Man I can't wait! Iron Man will be my first blu ray dvd, I'm definetly getting the Hulk on blu ray as well. When does it come out?

That's the arctic scene - it was decided that opening the movie with a botched suicide wasnt the way to go.

And yep, with hindsight, a lot of things LL said would be in the movie should have been taken with a pinch of salt.

I'm beginning to think that may be the case too.
