Ya disney has no real say or control over the comics side. Just the same as with time warner. Look at all the companies both own or have shares too. Most are left alone to run as they see fit. And are just under that umbrella of a greater whole.

well most who follow waid probably knew he is doing the new archie series. ON top of all the other projects he does. Doesnt mean someone like him couldnt do spidey too if he wanted to and all that.

Anyway, MJ is a now a supporting character in Iron Man. I'm not sure if I'm disappointed by more of the world of Peter Parker being outsourced to other superheroes, or happy that MJ is finally safe from Dan Slott.

As long as she isn't his love interest (and frankly I could see that happening, which is just "ew") I guess I'm happy she got out this muck.

Ya but didn't bendis say this new ironman book awhile back would feature new supporting characters, new love interests, and new villains. It's possible but I don't want mj shaking up with stark.

And Tony's gotta be nearing 40 at this point. He was head of Stark Industries back when Peter started at 15. Hell, when they lived in Avengers tower, Tony was almost something of a father figure to Peter.

What cover I only saw cover of her holding an ironman mask face plate. If she is working for stark makes no sense. As she isn't in that field being a actor, model and club owner. Would make better sense bringing pepper back to stark books.

Her past careers could segue nicely into a spokesperson/face of the company position.

I'm with you on that one! Waid made me love FF,and he made me love Daredevil after Brubaker killed my interest in it.

Sorry, Brubaker was awesome for a time, then every comic became this political soapbox from which he could preach, ala Captain America. Daredevil just got SO BLEAK under his run, that I couldn't stand it. I left before the writer after him took over with that "Shadowland" nonsense.

Personally, I would love to see what Waid, Rick Remember, or Matt Fraction could bring to the table. Aside from that, maybe give some new blood a shot. That worked well on a book called "Ultimate Spider-Man back in the early 2000s...
