What is the craziest DC comics movie you'd like to see get made?

Doom Patrol

The fact that the characters gain superpowers in accidents and SPOILERS! WARNING! WARNING! are caused by the man who recruits them as a super team could be crazy, dark and unique even despite its similarities with the X-Men and Fantastic Four.

Just please please dont set Doom Patrol in the modern day. I don't want to see a Robotman that looks as advanced as cyborg i want him to look retro and clunky. plus i think Ron Perlman would be a good Robotman or Mickey Rourke.

I'd set it in the 50s. :yay:

I would love to see a Plastic Man film, or the Crime Syndicate.

I don't think it would be the wildest thing imaginable (and btw, I love the context the original poster The Face put this in via the topic-starter, kudos for that)... but after finding myself joining speculation I have read about whether the first Wonder Woman film might feature Dr. Fate, I actually really love the notion of one day seeing a retro Golden Age Justice Society of America (from All Star Comics) series of films set in a period spanning WWI to WWII, featuring Doctor Fate (Khalid Ben-Hassin if that is the iteration used in Wonder Woman; otherwise Kent Nelson), Hour-Man (Rex Tyler), Spectre (Jim Corrigan), Sandman (Wes Dodds), Atom (Al Pratt), Flash (Jay Garrick), Green Lantern (Alan Scott), and Hawkman (Carter Hall).

To add to this, the following fantasy musings about a revision/adaptation of who Alan Scott could be in the DCEU: here.

I would love to see that dude plus Wild cat and the other team with the human bomb and uncle sam...i forgot the name.

But the craziest idea would be the Creature Commandos/Agents of S.H.A.D.E. and their stories from the WW2 days to the modern day....i imagine the movie would have a Hellboy feel to it.

Plus the ATOM is apart of S.H.A.D.E in the modern day and i love that guy.

I honestly think there's something good to be fleshed out of The Dark Knight Strikes Again.

After Lindelof is done with the Leftovers he needs to be the show runner for a DC show on HBO

Some of the more crazy DC characters would have a better chance on the small screen. I'm still not sure why HBO hasn't taken a DC property and run with it

I'd love to see an Infinity Inc. movie set in a DCCU Earth-2 modelled on Pre-Crisis continuity:

but that said, I'd settle for them appearing in one of the "FlArrowVerse" shows :)

I love the idea of The Question and Adam Strange from the OP. I would also like to see them so badly. A Question tv show could be cool. Maybe a 12 episode miniseries so it doesn't get to desperate in later seasons if it's successful. Like Netflix's DD or Jessica Jones. A grand conspiracy that gets bigger and bigger. And I'm talking outside of Hub City. That'd be cool. Or maybe Hub City, then a next season it could get grander.

I'd also love to see a JSA, but the DCCU (I still refuse to call it DCEU because it's not expanding on anything, it's its own thing) doesn't seem to be making any room for past events as major as JSA.

Also, Captain Comet. He's seriously so cool to me.

FU, parademons.

I don't have a particular issue in mind, but DC/WB should develop a film about Doctor Fate.

Zatanna

Not really a crazy idea given but by her popularity to the mainstream, this might seem like a wild card for a live action film.

I think the Metal Men could work either as a live action film or animated. The Metal Men themselves would be CGI with perhaps motion capture. If the Cyborg film is ever made, I think Magnus making a small appearance would be good

As a historian specialising in medieval chivalric literature, Elseworlds 'Superman: Kal' by Dave Gibbons and Jose Luis Garcia-Lopez holds a special place in my heart, because it ties in Superman mythology with Arthurian legend beautifully.

I'd love a movie adaptation with the current DCCU cast, maybe adding WW and Batman...never going to happen but a girl can dream, right?!

I think setting in the modern day would help fit it in the DCEU, the appearance of Superman and other metahumans would be the trigger for Caulder to create his own superheroes and the fact that the Doom Patrol are seen as freaks would work well as contrast to the god like JL.

Batman Year 100. Easily one of the best Batman comics ever but also kind of weird.
