What Is The Right Religion?

:trans:
The first thing you said to me was ''I smell a troll'' that goes to show how you were trying to hide your inferior knowledge about religion simply because you didnt have nothing anything to say against my post.

I win, you lose.

No, I know you’re a troll because the legit Muslims that do post here don’t act like that. They also go on threads besides religious ones.

I havent been on this site for a day. I came here for news about superheroe movies and tv shows.

The point stands that they were irreligious. Deism still not being a religious establishment and all. The "great thinkers" of our time that ANTHONY was trying to say were religious were all of those men. They were the great thinkers of their time, far more than anyone else, and they still were not religious.

We obviously differ on some points, including the definition of a religion (mine is obviously broader than yours, and there is cloudiness on whether actually worshiping as opposed to just believing is a requirement, I've found definitions saying both), and how important some people were to the founding of the country was (which is an academic interpretation debate and not a factual one). As far as these go I say we agree to disagree.

I do agree that his statement is much more unfounded, I just thought yours was iffy until I got annoyed because you called me a dullard for some bizarre reason.

who here gets so fed up at times, that you feel like you hate the Bible and the Quran?

I try not to, but every now and then I feel that way.

The way I see it people can find a way to get mad over anything, there's no reason to get mad at those the objects of the fight.

This could be perceived as wise by some, however there is no point in going into a discussion with you, since you are obviously an atheist, i take this to be true since you are mentioning us human having this so called 'peace'with the universe which mostly consists of nothingness (vacuum) and other inanimate objects such as heavenly bodies and gas,..lots of gass , your response seems rather vague and hippie like. lol

But nontheless thank you for responding :yay:

I'm not an athiest at all. I admit I'm a tad spiritually confused, still figuring things out and the such, but one thing I am certain I am not is an athiest.

Don't blame the guy...he enjoys making rapid assumptions.

They’re both fictional books, I get pissed off with their followers.

Don't get pissed at the books. They're mere guides on how someone should live their life. Get pissed at the followers who take it out of context and do stupid things.

Thank you everyone for your contributions.

Or maybe I should say "Thank you" for those of you who actually contributed. :D

For me, the right religion is no religion. That may not be the answer that's right for you, or any other poster on here, but it works for me. I believe in the deliciously mystifying and awe-inspiring world of science. I believe that when I die I will go back to exactly the same nothingness from whence I came before I was born. Until that time, I'll delight in the wonders of the world; the questions, both answered and unanswered, that we have before us today and not wonder if there is a purpose to what I see.

It works for me. Only you know if it'll work for you. :)

The thing is, asking "what the right religion is" on the internet is just, well, stupid. You're never going to find spiritual fulfilment on the internet. Hell, the only things you'll find on the internet that are actually worth anything are music, random facts, and cheap porn. Your spiritual path, whatever it may be, begins in the real world, not in this pathetic facimile of life known collectively as the "series of tubes." So don't ask a bunch of nerds on a super hero message board with too much free time about god, magic, science, the afterlife, polotics, or the meaning of life. Go out into the damn world and experience it for yourself. All you'll get here is a watered down, tastless version of an inteligent debate and alot of stupid abreviations of words that are fairly easy to spell. And now that I've said my peace, I'm actually going to go and do something productive.

The correct religion is Jokerism, where you worship me, and send me all your money...also, I get to have sex with all the women, except the fatteis, no fat chicks allowed. Oh, and porn stars, I get all the porn stars to myself, you can keep the strippers though, they're just for looking and I dont need that BS. So in short, send me your money and your porn stars, and you get to go to heaven, where you continue to send me stuff for all eternity :o

question, you know I like you dude, I even liked that SIr Mix Alot avatar you once had ( or was that the question?) but that was a really dumb thing to say.
you can find a spiritual path anywhere, in the olden days people found it in sacred writtings (methods of storing knowledge) and the new world has thousands of places to find knowledge.
the internet is one of them.

wrap the other spoiler tag around your sig...the balckout one, this one doesn't work as well.

the ninja Icon on the posting dealy it says something like [blackout]i think[/blackout] [ blackout] [ /blackout] ( remove the extra space)

I don't know about that. You can certainly find information on various religious and mystical philosophies and movements on the internet, but I don't really see the actuall spiritual journey happening there. The Internet, in my mind, has transformed from simply a useful tool for finding information to a hollow imitation of a real life. I guess what I was talking about was looking for spiritual counsel on message boards, which I do think is kind of lame. Simply using the internet for gathering information, that I can buy.
