What is your philosophy on life?

I'll try...try to.........explain.

War and Peace has nothing to......can I do this?...should I bother?

I,...wasn't referencing "War and Peace".
I meant "A BOOK". I used that as an example of "A BOOK", as an analogy meant to show that just because you can scientifically identify elements of a phenomenon, it doesn't mean that there isn't an intangible element.

So, you can look at "A BOOK", and reduce it down to it's physical components, which would be INK, THREAD, PRESSED WOOD PULP"...but the BOOK is NOT "ink, thread, pressed wood pulp".

Those are just the physical means of expressing an intangible concept, an idea.

But for your A.I. notion to have any bearing or not on whether there is an intangible, spiritual source of "Love" in REAL LIFE .....you'd have to actually be able to program a robot to love in REAL LIFE .

Do you....do you, understand? :(

I love the way Wilhelm's nostrils flare when he's angry. :O

Yes you can program a robot to show love and to show emotions, but it can't feel them, they would not have a consciousness of a real mind. and its impossible for them to have such a thing.

Yes, yes, robots and emotions, blah, blah... but can you program a robot to have sensitive nipples? Eh? Eh???

...Yeah, that's right....

It's theoretically possible.

You're trying to explain how love transcends all physical principles like it's a simple concept. rolleyes:

I have to say that when I read "Oh my god, I'm going to have a stroke."

I started laughing so hard that everyone at the office looked at me funny.
"just thought of something funny" and then made up a story.

but you actually made me "LOL" wilhelm.

LOL

All your brain is, is a complex network. Yes it's abilities can be replicated by technology theoretically.

Hahaha. What about how unfair it is that I can "reference" War and Peace but he can't reference A.I. ?

Lord

The whole conversation just got sadder and sadder. :(

no one should be left behind, even if they don't believe in a higher cause of affection

My philosophy for life:

Try and be nice to people, avoid eating fat, read a good book every now and then, get some walking in, and try and live together in peace and harmony with people of all creeds and nations.

And, of course, always look on the bright side.
