What Marvel character can move a planet?

All of the Cosmics including Franklin Richards. The Surfer and maybe Gladiator who has claimed to be capable of it. The Hulk and Hercules definately not they are neither strong enough nor can they fly.
you would have to have super endurance and be able to flight really hard but since hulk can't fly if he had another planet to stand on he could move a planet

Since he wouldn't be able to touch one planet while standing on another that wouldn't work either. If he had a lever long enough to reach that would be cheating plus he would still need a fulcrum. No, you have to have serious flight power.

Goddesss. Excalibur 50. Rachel Summers and Necrom fought... by throwing planets at each other for 5 pages... I'd add Storm to the list :p She has used her powers in space, and she can control solar winds, if she were to concentrate she could use those solar winds to push a planet out of its orbit.

To move a planet you would feasibly need super invulnerability and super flight speed.

Id say...

Silver Surfer, Hyperion, Nova , Genis-vell , possibly sentry

Of course you could also fudge it with the hulk rending a planet in 2 , scarlett witch hexing, Quasar could build massive jets out of quantum force and propel a planet (actually i think he has done this)

I think its pretty stupid to have a character move a planet. Given the small size of a hero and the velocity required, its much more likely from a physics standpoint the person would simply punch a hole through.

I do know one marvel character who could move a planet for sure...and thats EGO the living planet.

From a physics standpoint, the planet would crack and break.

And since we're on that mark, only a few beings throughout the cosmos would be capable of doing it.

Sentry should have that ability with all his potential and such, as would any other super cosmic being, since they could use their energy to spread their force over a vast distance on the planet, and gently move it out of the way.

i doubt Hulk is THAT strong, plus the whole matter that he can't fly and what-not

Bah...who cares about moving planets, hehe Galactus eats them for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Hulk doesn't need to fly to move a planet.

Hulk does a handstand and grabs the ground. Firmly. Hulk is now effectively holding the planet.

Hulk then throws his arms as hard as he can forward. If he is angry enough to be that strong(since he has limitless strength potential, he can technically get strong enough) he should be able to throw said planet.

Galactus.

True, but i dont think that really counts..

Actually,i would also think that this is true. The Hulk can do many, and if he could fly.Moving plants may be within his power range.

There is no Marvel hero who can move plants.

he just doesn't seem that strong to me

Newsflash: It's not possible to get caught in a gamma bomb explosion, survive, and gain the ability to turn into a 7ft. tall, 1000 lb. raging green monster either.

These are comic books.

Relax, and enjoy. ;)
LOL

Who's pants stretch and turn purple,.... no matter what color they start out as,...

Hulk is strongest one there is.

The Hulk (Savage Hulk) has no upper limit to his strength. He can get infinitely strong. The madder he gets, the stronger he gets.

true
but they rarely take him to those levels, so i don't picture him like that

So noone thinks Thor can? He was the one I has in mind when creating this thread. Thor is Marvel's original "it" hero and was regarded as the most powerful being on the planet before the Sentry came along. He fought Ego, Galactus and other gods. But for all his battles, dude rarely shows off how strong he is. I mean, have you seen Thor lift up a mountain, or crush a black hole with his hands, which is the dumbest thing ever...besides moving a planet! I know he's in 100 class strength but he rarely shows his it.

I would believe it if certain gods could do it. At times i think gods like Thor should be alot more powerful because of their godhood/divinity. Werent the gods at a time back when they were first being written in Marvel as powerful as cosmic beings? As a sidenote to that, I also have a terrible time swallowing the idea that a mere humanoid alien powered by the sun could take down a god from a great pantheon. Its terribly unbelievable.

Not really. In ancient traditions, god didn't mean all powerful. At least, not always. In any event, there are many beings in the heavens more powerful than Thor. Surtur and Odin both dwarf him. The Celestials tower over all of them.

As for the Superman thing, I have a theory. It was shown previously in JLA/Avengers that the heroes conformed to the laws of physics in each world when they went to them. In the MU, The Flash was powerless because there was no speed force. In the DCU, Wanda got a super charge from the Lords of Chaos. Well, in the MU, gods are simply powerful extradimensional entities that were worshiped by humans. However, in the DCU, the gods did not exist at first. However, the worship of them and the belief in them did a sort of mind over matter thing, and they came into existence. And, the more they are worshiped, the healthier and more powerful they are. The less they are worshiped and believed in, the weaker and less resilient they become. The reason the Greek Gods are so powerful is because they still have a string base of followers with the Amazons. That's also why they left the universe when the Amazons did. WIthout their worshipers, they would shrivle into nothing. The Superman/Thor fight took place in the DCU. Way I see it, the second Thor stepped foot in the DCU, he began conforming to how gods worked there. And so, without any real followers besides a few D&D nuts in Norway, he began losing power. So, that's why he wasn't as strong in the fight with Superman and did alot of stupid things he wouldn't otherwise.

Saying nobody less than a cosmic is simply not true. The Hyperion from universe 13034 the one in Hiclmans Infinity run prevented 2 universes from colliding where the earths were the tips of the spear for each universe he got between then and held the universes apart. It wasn't until the was the broke apart from the pressure that they collided both universes exploded killing everything in both except Hyperion who was merely knocked out. I'm pretty sure this new Hyperion can easily move planets.
