Really. Lighten up. It was all in good fun and did a good job pointing out things Raimi screwed up perfectly. I like Spider-Man 3, but there were things they royally screwed up as well.

Also , the sandman being the killer didnt ruin the movie for me because SM3 had larger faults.

His quips do work better in the context of the comics than they would on film.

The reason being: thought balloons.


When he makes quips in the comics- we read what he's saying to his enemy and what not, but we also hear his thoughts and that he is usually quipping to take his mind off of the gravity of the situation. So the thought balloons give us the insight of how dire the situation is and what is going on in his head. We can't get both at once in a film. So he has to quip when he's funny- but also be quiet and worried to show those thoughts...

hey man...i have an eclectic taste in films, what can i say.

seriously, both were my favorite of the franchise, but that's my opinion that both are so epic that i cant choose a 100% favorite. I saw both 4 times in theaters, they feature my favorite villian(s),the music was badass in both films (damn you sony!) and each had actors which once again, IMO suited their role perfectly.

You not getting what we're saying. We aren't saying you should hate Spider-Man 3. But you should be able to enjoy a parody. The Dark Knight was pretty much a flawless movie but the parody of it was still funny as all get out.

You all have to understand that yes, the director is indeed in charge of alot of things on film but, trust me that if the director of the film had 100 % complete control, we wouldnt have the studios force cut scenes because its not in thier budget.

anyone forget the news that jackman almost walked off set and that gavin hood was pissed off at tom rothman for changing the scenery on set ? That lauren had to fly her husband down to calm things down and give advice on what to do.

Ohh yeah and the reason we got galactus as a giant storm cloud was... ding ding ding.. not enough money in the budget. So who gets blamed for it, not the writer, not the studios, the director gets blamed.

ohh lets not forget about the comments that the director of babylon ad Mathieu Kassovitz said about NEVER working with fox again because of thier meddling with the movie ?

What I am happy about is that since disney bought marvel's shares they can now have the financial backing with marvel films.

I fail to see how I was trying to talk tough. I think you need to man up instead of trying to villify me and come off as some sort of hapless victim. Honestly, answer the question, how old are you??

I simply informed you on what a parody is because you clearly didn't know what one was. You said the vid looks like it's making fun of spidey 3 and I said, yes, that is what a parody is all about.

Also, why should TDK be parodied for things to be ok in your little world? SM3 was on the whole, a mess of a film and is rightfully subject to ridicule. There are also parodies of TDK but TDK is a superior film and doesn't have the obvious need to be parodied as much as SM3.

Yeah. Except we're not talking about thing that got cut for budgetary reasons. What Raimi messed up was not having quips. And he wrote the script. And last I checked it doesn't cost 400,000 dollars per quip. So, the thread is accurate, your post isn't.
