I think that the lizard story could work as it is, the story just needs to be written with conviction and for us as the audience to really feel for connors and him wanting to regrow his arm to the point where he gets desperate due to him not being able to do something that would require the use of his arm.

If the story is powerful enough, I think the accident gone wrong wouldn't be an issue. It's just a matter of execution as most thing s are. I just hope we do get the lizard as it's been built up and would loe to see the movies deal with it.

Plus they'll have the whole family angle of Connors wife and son being put in danger because of Connors. I know all the villains, except Venom, had loved ones, but they never were in danger from the villain. Goblin's scheme had nothing to do with Harry, Ock's wife died in the accident that made him Doc Ock, and Sandman's daughter had one brief scene in the movie.

I mean, you could have been nice about it, although, I already knew that parodies make fun of films. What I wanted what I said to get to is that S-M3 has parodies that make fun of it for reasons people hate the film, while TDK has parodies that make fun of the film, but nothing extremely specific. Well, the way Batman talks, but other than that.

It can also serve as a way to break away from the cliched girlfriend being in peril. Having Billy and his mother as the victims/hostages in some sort of effective capacity would be a fantastic turn of events. Thinking about it now reminds me of, Night of the lizard (from a visual and motion point of reference).
This is right up Raimi's street of expertise, it'll be a crime if we don't get the connors/lizard story

Exactly and those are the moments that need to stand out and appeal to the audience. If there's any villain that needed the sympathy card, it's Connors. Good writing and and a creative direction can make for some marvelous and magical scenes.

lizard is the perfect villian. he is sympathetic, knows the hero, there can be brilliant visual effects with the change, the stroy can also center around conners' family. the lizard is perfect and the audience is already familier with conners.

personally if it were e writting the script I'd have it so the lizard is attacking the people of new york and spidey is getting blamed. the police chief is ordered by the mayor to get results so they set up a special task force (non super power just plain swat) to take spidey down.

WTF dude. the studio is making the movie for money. Raimi is a director. a painter a creator we could say. why should an artist do something for other people?thats horrible. he should do something he would love and if people like then they do.
