Now I have complained about the Hood's group in the past, I think they are boring and a throw away plot point. So I'm going ask, what can this group do be more interesting in general?

Get a clubhouse and start happy hours on thursdays.

The Hood was badass. Even when his group was defeated and members were arrested, the Hood busted them out. That's awesome!

How is that badass, they shouldn't have been caught so easily in the first place! What has this group done that is actually badass?

The hood broke INTO a SHIELD prison and then broke his buddies OUT. And started a cool system of super-villain organized crime. I think that was cool.

That's kinda like saying Electro is badass for blacking out the city, it seems impressive, but with his powers, it makes it so easy to do, its not really that impressive. Anyone more intelligent then ham sandwich, could do that, with those powers. It doesn't make the Hood seem clever or make him a brillant leader.

But crime wise what has this group done? What kind schemes have they created and executed? Because seriously so far this group is 2-0 against the Avengers, that isn't that very impressive at all.

2-0 against the Avengers is impressive. You mean 0-2.

Now that he's part of the illuminaughty, I think he'll move closer to center stage.

And with the Kingpin returning in DD, The Hood'll have something to say about that too. He won't be happy with Fisk on his turf.

So he basically stole Sidewinder's old schtick.

1. Have the Kingpin be in charge of it.

2. Have someone who isn't Bendis writing it.

The Hood needs some sort grand actual scheme. If you got an army of supervillains put those punks to good use doing something other than attacking the damn Avengers.

Get Baron Zemo to kick the Hood's ass and take over the group.

Yes and Yes

Actually, now that I think about it, Dormammu has been revealed as The Hood's power. NA#51 is focusing on how Dr. Strange has failed as the Sorcerer Supreme and someone else will be taking over. The new SS will need a challenge to prove him/herself and taking out The Hood/Dormammu might just be it. But the question is, will Bendis let his Hood be taken out by the new Sorcerer Supreme? Epsecially if the Hood's best days and schemes are behind him and the Kingpin is back in town dealing with Lady Bullseye and the Hand? I don't see Fisk just going back on vacation after he and DD take them out.
Hopefully he'll stick around and show Robbie how the REAL Kingpin does things!

New SS.......:csad: I swear Marvel's new idea sux. More than likely the new SS is going to be Brother Voodoo given his appearance in Ms. Marvel or Marvel can get even dirtier and let Baron Mordo become the new guy. Anyway, a way you can let the Hood become better is allow Dormammu to use him more.......let him come out and play since there are two guys living inside of him. Dormammu is a being that rules his own dimension....surely his avator should be more powerful.

I have no idea what the diff is between a villain and an anti-hero. Is there such thing as an anti-villain or are we just calling them "heroes"?

Anti-heroes are characters who do heroic things for not-so heroic motivations. Alternatively, they can be heroic character with not-so heroic methods.

From what I've gathered, an anti-hero is someone who does bad things but for good reasons, like killing a murderer so he won't kill again. An anti-villain is someone who does things for evil/selfish reasons, but ends up doing a lot more good than bad because it's convenient and/or beneficial.

Wait, no, that doesn't sound right either. Hold on....

That'll do ya. I've heard the term anti-villain before, but I think that was just because people realized that there was more than one kind of anti-hero and thought there should be labels for each.

An anti-villain, as I understand it, is someone who has a personal code of honor but still engages in villainous acts with villainous intentions. Like a bloodthirsty warrior who won't kill an unarmed opponent because there's no honor in it.

Or I could be totally wrong.

What should be done with Hood's group is something Marvel editorial really doesn't do anymore; look at the details for fine tuned fixing.

Not ALL of the villains in "Hood's gang" are illogical to be there. The Wrecking Crew, for instance, have worked for anyone with matching socks in the past (or the promise of a few grand or so). Griffen at best was a street thug so him being there is fine. Madame Masque is, for some reason dating Hood so she is stuck there. There are also villains who are mercenaries, like Blackout. The problem are those villains who either lead teams or are not the type to follow the Hood. Those are the ones who need to go. As well as Constrictor, because he's with the Shadow Initiative, and has been for over a year. Shave off the types who would never be caught dead taking marching orders from a nobody like Hood and you scale down the gang considerably, to the point where some actual characterization may come through.

Next, they need to think smaller. Immediately thinking they could dogpile the Avengers was a bit high up, especially after one small robbery. They need to get organized on the smaller level and then build up. Smaller victories trying to snowball to bigger ones.

And Tigra needs to defeat and completely humiliate Hood to get her groove back.

None of this will happen, though. Basically what will be done is Bendis will figure out his next move, and the editors will go, "Good idea, Mr. Bendis, sir."

Tigra kicking the Hood's ass would be awesome. I'd love to see that.
