Homecoming What should they do with the Spidey franchise? - Part 2

A live action TV adaptation of The Spectacular Spider-Man would be so fantastic

I agree.

Just pretty much turn Spider-Man into a Smallville-style show by adapting the Ultimate Spider-Man comics with Brian Bendis serving as head writer.

Also, is anyone here jumping for joy at the new rumour that Kevin Feige wants Avi Arad out?

Well I don't want Peter taking 10 years to put on his costume and being in constant denial of his powers. Then when we finally see him, it's only at a distance and a CGI model.

Big Smallville fan here.

I actually wasn't dissapointed that much by the finale. Sure, all we got was leftover stuff from Superman Returns, instead of Welling in the suit, but damn, was the finale emotional.

Spectacular Spider-Man would work so well in live action. It builds up the relationships between characters, such as Spidey and his foes. Stretch each story out to he 40-minute length of TV and you could fully develop Spidey's world.

Wow, most people voted for ASM joining MCU with all that baggage?

This would be the ideal if Marvel got full rights to Spidey!

I think that tune has changed drastically...

I think a lot of those votes may have been made before the leaks.

Yeah, and also remember these are TASM3 boards which were mainly visted by fans of the series. With the latest developments, a more varied amount of Spidey fans are here.

Big smallville fan hear to have went though each season like 4 times. Season 10 has a whole was not that good but my biggest problem with the finale was what they did with lex and losing his mermory has that kind of made ever thing that he went though in smallville worthless.

S10 definitely had its share of crap. The finale made up for most of it, though, sort of. Lex losing his memory sort of sucked, but that way one can pretend it's pre-Donner films or something.

Yeah it just felt like there where a lot of filer episodes in season 10.How would you rank the season form best to worse? I think I would go something like this.

1. Season 3
2. Season 2
3. Season 9
4. Season 5
5. Season 1
6. Season 4
7. Season 8
8. Season 6
9. Season 10
10. Season 7

Neither do I. I was more or less referring to the Ultimate Spider-Man comics and their tone which to me reminds me of a Smallville-ized Spider-Man show.

Kewl.

Honestly, it's been way too long. I'm not sure how I'd rank them. Season 9, 7, part of 6, and the early seasons are my favourites, though. I'm not sure why I like season 7 so much.

You can't have a Lex knowing who Superman was lol. That final conversation between Lex and Clark was pretty much all that needed to be said between the two anyway.

Yeah but I felt like a lot of why lex ends up the way he is was because of the things he goes though durning the show and so with all of his mermory being gone its like those things never happened witch makes it look like a wast to have those things happened if it is like it didn't happen.

Really season 7. I found the show to be at its beast form season 1-5 then it started getting worse in season 6 and I thought season 7 was its low point has it became to much like a soap poper in season 7. Then season 8 was better then season 9 was way better and then season 10 went down again.

Season 9 was definitely one of the best.

And again, I really don't know why I'm so fond of season 7, lol.

Don't care about Smallville in this thread. Go discuss it in the Smallville forum if you want to talk about it.

I think it might be cool to make the first half of season 1 or maybe like the first 4 episodes before Pete got bit to develop Pete and his supporting cast. Then maybe two episodes covering his origin. Then the rest of the season his early days as a crime fighter.

Season one could be a junior in high school, then season two a senior, season three freshman in college, etc.

Then supplement it with big screen movies with big events, like maybe Doc Ock or Green Goblin's intro, the Sinister Six, The Night Gwen Stacy Died, etc.

Don't wore we will get back to that. Where just talking about if they where to make a spider man tv show kind of like how we have a flash show or arrow or how we had smallville.

Definitely think that's the way to do it though. Get some teen actor, like an actual 18 year old kid to play Parker in Netflix and crossover with DD. Then have the adult Spiderman in the event films. I mean look at what Gotham is doing for Fox. The continuity doesn't have to be exact either. Both the film medium and TV show would be self contained, separated by at least 5-8 years or so.
