Superman Returns What Singer needs to do for the sequel to make it a sucess.

You want a Superman film to be one big fight?

Man, i'd hate to see a Superman film with you making it..

:( I am a Superman Fan, not a Smallville Fan or a Romantic movie Fan.
Superman is the biggest Superhero and he should Fight more than Spider Man and more action is needed. Maybe in the sequel he starts 2 cry about his boy and Lois Lane. Oh dear g.. I hate Lois , drinking Clark at Bibbos Bar, the Kid , Parker Posey and the henchman. The fuc... henchman clowns, the clowny Lex Luthor Gang. Did Supes throw a single Punch ? He was kicked like a Baby by Luthor and his henchman. New director = New Luck ? Yes, look at the Hulk.
I am dissapointed, its not a bad movie, but it is not the Superman we Fans know. He is not the Man of Steel of Testosterone, he is the Man of ? dont know....a damn sensitive, crying stalker.

Oh yeah there is something good in the movie: Jimmy Olsen, thats the way Jimmy should be, te Rest ? 0.

This isn't a film. It's a method of reverting Supes to the status quo. It's garbage.

LOL Well, it's not my job to write movies, it was just an idea. SR had professional writers and they still dorpped the ball. And I like the idea. And could you elaborate on what you mean by the status quo? In what sense does it make it the status quo?

ya,I really wish we could get something like that in the sequel.

WHAT a GREAT FIGHT ! This is what a Superman movie should be !!!

Singer could improve the sequel exponentially by staying the **** away from it and letting someone who knows what they're doing take a crack at it. It is unfixable in its current incarnation.

Singer should stay and simply make the sequel more action/fighting oriented, less story. That way it will appeal to the idiot masses.

He could draw in some minor scifi elements from his interest in Trek to make the AI of Brainiac interesting.

LOL, it's got nothing to to with idiot masses but everything to do with a movie so insipidily written it borders on ****tard territory. This was batman and robin bad and noone at WB said a word.

This of course is your opinion which youve stated for the millionth time.

idiot masses?
hahahahahahahaha.
keep your mexican soap operas to yourself, dude.
we want a real superman movie and Singer away from it.

what we need in the sequel...

i want to see Superman in custody battle for Jason. Superman has to confront Lois and Richard, and in his frustration, Superman snaps Richard's neck, killing him instantly. This will make Lois hates him even more.

I want to see Jason finally accepting his fate as a potential superhero replacing his dad. He secretly don the costume similar to his dad's (with a lot of paddings, even when Singer said there won't be any) and saves the world only to be killed at Zod's hand. Superman goes all berserk and snaps Zod's neck (Ursa's and Non's too...).

We'll get an even emo-er Supes with his 'family' problems. It will be an oscar quality superhero drama movie

There you go proving my point.

And I thought my English was bad...hehehehehe.
There's no use replying to ya, Silver Lad. What can a member of the idiot masses offer to a highly intelectually developed sopa opera lover individual?

A question has been asked and yes, Singer should not be directing it this time.

LOL.:D
indeed.

i want to see Lex, using the last tiny piece of the crystal found in his left boot, build and expand the tiny island we last saw him stranded on, into a big island, thus fulfilling his 'evil' obsession to build 'a land' - it is all about 'real estate' for Lex (both in Hackman's and Spacey's version)

Also with that tiny piece of crystal, he found a way to produce fuel from the coconuts for the helicopter. He returns to Metropolis with Kitty, minus the dog (they ate that poor mutt). Lex, with his new found knowledge, starting a coconut-based fuel company and brings revolution to humankind. He became a good man and gave up his evil way, but somehow still hates Superman very much for his miserable experience in jail.

Hmmm, well, I liked SR but I was disappointed since it could have been sooo much better than it was. And I like Singer, so I wouldn't give him the boot just yet. But I'd sure like him to learn from this experience.

I was just explaining on BOF why I trust Nolan with the BB franchise so much, and part of it is that he was able to make the transition from small-budget indie movies to a big-production blockbuster without a hitch. Sure, it didn't make HUGE bucks (it wasn't a family movie, so huge bucks are a pretty far-fetched notion to begin with) but he was able to pull in a pretty sweet profit for WB, while pleasing hordes of fanboys/girls at the same time.

My opinion is that Singer was in waaay over his head on SR. He was given LOADS of money and he ran with it, even asking for more when he wanted last-minute CGI. He spent most of it on the effects when he should have looked closely at the story, the characters, and the conflict.

Since the film is good but it has yet to pull a profit for WB (let's face it folks, studios are in it for the $$$), he should find a way to minimize the wasting of money. Like, look over the script carefully so you shoot only what you really want. We were even given production stills of Brandon in the ship, and Brandon as Supes wearing Clark's glasses being conflicted, etc, but none of it was seen in the movie. Dreadful waste.

Don't try to sacrifice story for eye candy. It works for movies like POTC2, since it's all eye candy really, but Supes isn't meant to be ridiculous and campy like that. I want to feel invested in the characters before the conflict hits them. I'm not familiar with Superman's history at all, so I can't speak for the different kinds of villains and whatnot, but even I can tell that the Lex Luthor storyline was weak. I want to feel the gravity of Supes' conflict.

I think Singer can do it, if he can rein himself in. One of my favorite movies is Usual Suspects, and not because the explosions and violence are cool. It's because of the acting, the characters, and the story. I think Singer can do that kind of thing again.

...although I'm not sure if I want him to try it with the plotlines they took with SR.

And I'll keep saying at as long as you wanna come on here and pronounce yourself better than everyone else that hates this POS because you're in the "know" about this film buddy. Take a break and quit being so condescending to people and perhaps you'll find at least a couple of friends. Otherwise, shut your hole and put me on ignore.

Go get a gun, kill Brandon Routh and Kate Bosworth, then kill himself. WB would then be forced to get new people. That's the only chance we have for the sequel to be any good.

Hey, with the Superman curse, you never know...

LMAO LMAO one of the funniest posts i've ever read.

Hey, with the Superman curse, you never know...

that could be a movie all in itself ;)

Some originality, thats all I ask for. I loved SR but its biggest problem is that it plays like Superman Reruns
