Here's just a few ideas I had, was wondering what people thought of them.. I put em in bullet points cause I could probably write a novel if I kept on going.

-First off make the Apocalypse storyline a two-parter (it kills me that they'll probably not do this.)
-Have Sinister and Magneto and the Brotherhood as villains in the first part with Magneto teaming with the xmen to take down Apocalypse in the second. (Magneto could have gone off to form Genosha at the end of DOFP)
-They can show why Cyclops and Jean are crazy about one another.
-Introduce the Morlocks.
-Introduce the Exiles with Cable, Blink, and Angel coming back in time to help out with Apocalypse. (Best possible way to reintroduce Angel IMO)
-Have Nightcrawler teleport Quicksilver into a cell of some kind after a fight (only way I can see anyone taking him out)
-Have Wolverine, Angel, Gambit as Horseman (would be a cool fresh dynamic to have wolverine be the bad guy for a change)
-Then if the Age of Apocalypse movies turn out to be as good as DOFP then they can redo the Dark Phoenix storyline with the younger actors if they wanted.

What do you guys think? Kinberg opened up a lot of possibilities with this movie. He has a fun job ahead of him. I just hope he takes full advantage and doesnt miss out on any golden opportunities. I honestly wish I could just spit out some of these ideas to Kinberg real quick with the hopes some of it might stick

I'm prepared to give the filmmakers the benefit of the doubt from now on but just for fun here's what I would do...

1st film. Mutant massacre and setting up sinister (new characters, Callisto and caliban)
2. Legacy virus and full confrontation with sinister (new characters stryfe, sinister and northstar)
3. Apocalypse and his horseman and the age of apocalypse with the xmen teaming up with the brotherhood to save everyone (new characters, wanda and avalanche)

I can see Apocalypse being a multi-film threat, only way to do him justice

Same here.

Mutant Massacre and Legacy Virus could be cool too!

I'd like to see the Legacy Virus and Genosha featured at some point soon

Let Cyclops/Jean/Storm have their time to shine and be very central to the storylines they tell. Wolverine/Mags/Charles/Mystique have had their time.

The X-men film franchise is the first one to have a major villain survive and actually continue having a presence in the film series with Magneto. I have faith they'll do the same thing with Apocalypse (and Sinister when he finally shows up).

I really dislike the idea of setting the movie in the 80s. I know why they want to (Lawrence, Fassbender, and McAvoy) but going back in time again is a sure fire way to put viewers off. Hopefully I eat my words on this but I think it's ill advised.

Apocalypse defeated(partially) in Apocalypse 2016 and then someone awakes him in the 2023 future and make a movie with the OT cast

I agree with that going back in time again would put some viewers off. Especially with the ending that we got in the future. This would be like the 4th time a X-Men film is mostly set in the past.

And I also think they could do more of this futuristic stuff/gadgets in the future period without them looking dated/vintage.

Goes against what tptb have been saying about making each new movie different. If the character survives XM:A, I bet they shelve Apocalypse for a while.

Yeah thats a good idea!

2016 film - origin story/introduction
2018 film - all out war!

Genosha would be amazing! They ought to film somewhere tropical.

I would love to be able to go for a walk around genosha pre sentinel attack. That's why I really want it to appear in a video game

I could see that and would love that idea.

Apocalypse is met by the FC team in the 80s and seemingly defeated.

Roll forward and X-Force discover him, resulting in a OT x X-Force movie to introduce Cable/Deadpool etc

But it isn't the "past" anymore. The First Class group is the "main timeline", where we are now allowed to see the "prime" of the X-Men. It might end up being the same time frame as the first two films, but it can be something truly different. Something that could be sustaining for years to come. It is the perfect way of rebooting without rebooting. That is at least how I see it.

Good movie is a good movie, regardless if it is set in the Past, Present, or Future. X-Men: First Class largely didn't get the crowds the OT got due to backlash from X3 and Origins, as well as being sandwiched into a harsh June and having relatively poor marketing. I loved First Class, but before it came out, I had little interest in the movie partly due to the trailers and such just not grabbing me. Reviews and WOM convinced me to go out of my way to see it. Apocalypse doesn't have that baggage. That film will follow 2 well liked X-Men films, and DoFP is doing fairly well overall (more so internationally than domestically, but still doing well). DoFP for many is the first exposure to the FC cast the general public will have had, and since the movie is good and most people really like the movie, I only see this boding well for the next film following those characters.

I was right there with you. The only reasons I was going to check out First Class was McAvoy, Byrne and Vaughn. I am still shocked by how much I loved it. I was not suprised with how much I liked DoFP and if it was possible, I'd already have my tickets for Apocalypse.

I know I wasn't the only one, LOL! My brother was equally apathetic to First Class when it was coming out. After I saw the film, he asked me how it was (expecting I would rant about it being awful) and when I told him that I loved it, he didn't believe me. I had to twist his arm to go see it with me before it left theaters, and like me, he was shocked by how great the movie was.

I am less surprised that DoFP was as good as it was given I had already seen the property turn around drastically. I wish I could travel to the future and watch X-Men: Apocalypse right now, LOL!!!! Besides continuing the story of a well liked team from DoFP, Apocalypse also has the advantage of having....Apocalypse! One of the few X-Men villains the average joe is aware of.

Oh, I had to drag my brother to First Class. Which is hilarious, because now we both kind of adore it. The more we watch it, the more we like it. It is TFA of X-Men for us. Definitely his favorite X-Men film. Heck, he didn't even like DoFP nearly as much.

Apocalypse has so much working for it, not least of which is the status of the First Class crew. They have the easy excuse for having Jackman around, while having their biggest star (Lawrence) being the focal point of their two leading men.

This is actually a pretty good idea, but the only thing is how do Kinberg and Singer keep the threat of Apocalypse from feeling repetitive after two films?

Apocalypse Mk2 - Stryker finds him and uses all his left over adamantium on him :woot:

Mutant Massacre easily sets up Gambit and Archangel. That element seems likely to be part of X-Men: Apocalypse...

Then Apocalypse adds the adamantium to Wolverine.

The Apocalypse story about mutant gods is ideal to bring in Storm (worshipped as a goddess) and Jean (has potential to have power of a goddess through Phoenix).

Somehow lead it into X Force, just as AoA in the comics did carry on into the X Force books.

Sinister, Arcade, Savage Land, Genosha, Moses Magnum, Shi'ar, it can all be done if done well and respectfully and in keeping with the tone of the series.

I highly doubt that Apocalypse will be done in one film guy is too powerful to be in just one movie I would make him the one that gives wolverine the metal claws and be part of his horseman and introduce Sinister and give Jean and Scott and whole movie to themselves to set up a proper Phoenix Saga

I would love Astoroid M man but I know that is too far fetched for the movie series

Genosha is a must though :woot:

I see what you're saying but the eighties is still the past, ya know? It just creates a barrier for casual fans. People can't even wrap their brains around DOFP.

Well of course a good movie is a good movie. Like I said, I hope I'm wrong. But I think the time travel/past aspect puts off some viewers.
