My first time watching this one and I thought it was a beautifully haunting and surreal film. I've never been the biggest Lynch fan but this is definitely one of his best IMO and up there with some of my personal favorites of his like Blue Velvet, Eraserhead, Wild at Heart and Dune.
The Bill's, Paxton and Sadler, take on the Ice's, Cube and T, in a high concept thriller helmed by Walter Hill with his trademark gritty, no nonsense approach.

I'd only seen the classic Charles Laughton adaption, but this stands up well in comparison to that masterpiece.

The Beaumont MIKE SHAYNE DETECTIVE movies from 1946 and 1947 -
*Murder is my Business (1946) Hugh Beaumont
*Larceny in Her Heart (1946) Hugh Beaumont
*Blonde For a Day (1946) Hugh Beaumont
*Three on a Ticket (1947) Hugh Beaumont
*Too Many Winners (1947) Hugh Beaumont
The character from the Mike Shayne mystery novels is played by Hugh Beaumont who is most famous for playing Beaver Cleaver's father on LEAVE IT TO BEAVER. It's funny seeing him play a 1940's film noir detective. The short films (around 1hr 10min each) are simple and formulaic, but fun if you're a fan of the genre. A big difference between this series and most other "hard boiled" detective stories is that Shayne can't fight worth **** and gets his butt stomped regularly (which is kind of funny in a way).
A mystery thriller western, different to most I've seen and really good, keeps you invested in the intrigue aboard a train travelling to a military fort through the mountains. It's an adaption of an Alistair MaClean novel (he also wrote the screenplay) the man behind classics like Where Eagles Dare, Guns of Navarone and Ice Station Zebra. The cast is on point, there's some good action and there's a great score from Jerry Goldsmith.
I don't think this deserved the brutal, scathing reviews that it got and it was atleast a one time watch for the spectacle and world building but it's just sad seeing so much potential go to waste because of a generic, weak and predictable script and most of all forgettable characters.

This was really enjoyable while it's not scary in the least I did get some good laughs out of it.

This one is definitely worth a watch if you like surreal, unique or out there French Horror films or retro old-school vampire flicks in general but be aware that it's very different from what you might usually expect from this genre.
SUPERMAN, the 1982 ABC TV 3 hour cut. For its first TV airing, ABC TV cut together the theatrical version, plus the deleted scenes that can be found as extras on the DVD, as well as several other extended parts to scenes not seen on any other release. Not seen again, that is, until it came out on Blu-ray in 2017. This 3 hr and 8 min (without commercials) cut, was aired as a two night special event. It wasn't shown again until the 2017 Blu-ray edition. I personally consider the movie SUPERMAN the greatest comic book movie made, and this extended version, with all the deleted scenes and extra bits cut professionally cut back into it, is a wonderful thing to see.
I hadn't seen this in forever but man is this such well done, lean and mean, tight knit thriller. I really miss movies like this and especially with talented directors like Wes Craven behind them. Also, Cillian Murphy should definitely do more villain roles because he absolutely kills it.

An insanely underrated remake/slasher film IMO and I still wish we got a proper sequel. I like the original film but I've always preferred this film over it despite the not so great acting and the fact that it does look like a cheap CW show at times. You can tell they definitely spent money on those kills though and that's all that matters.

I thought this was alright for the most part but I can definitely understand some of the mixed reactions I've been seeing for it. The humor in this is either going to make or break the movie for you and while I got some laughs out of it the chemistry between the two leads and the kills were easily the best parts. The killer looked pretty badass too but should have been utilized way more IMO.
