Nope, us teens didn't have one cool T-shirt with various band names from eclectic band genres for almost every day of the week in the 80s (The Smiths... Ehh, **** them, Motörhead was the cool and awesome band and still is). Aaand some other stuff here that didn't exist in the 80s, but always in todays reenditions to make the 80s seem way cooler than we remember it (did BMWs have car alarms already in 1987? Ok, maybe i just forgot about that lol). Well, enough nitpicking/angry old man shouting at clouds; IMHO this is clearly the most sympathetic and likable Transformer flick.
Stansfield is as great as I expected from the True Grit remake and the Hawkeye series, and Bumblebee is highly entertaining. Thankfully enough they kept him not too cutesy/adorable pet which I was a slight afraid of, but good level of a likable character and extraordinary side kick to the teen protagonist. I really liked that there wasn't as much super duper Transformer extravaganza fighting scenes which alwyays bored me after a while in previous offerings of this franchise, but rather more like an adventure flick with Stansfield and her cool VW Beetle including some action (remembering the Herbie movies as a kid, it kinda felt a bit nostalgic).
I also appreciated that the most villianous Transformer here actually was a female, can't remember any such character from the earlier flicks? Cena did good as well with his minor role. Over all a fun entertaining prequel (coming from someone who hates the contemporary trend of crappy prequels), and I would've rather seen more of Stansfield and Bumblebee (now as the classic awesome early-mid 70s Camaro) together than what we ended up with this franchise so far.
For many of you Millenials and Zoomers out there, the odds are pretty high you haven't heard of the name Dobie Gillis .
But as a genXer who experienced alot of the of 1950s and 1960s nostalgia , growing up in the 1980s, Dobie Gillis , and his romantic misadventures, were apart of my childhood, whether it be his 50s tv show The Many Loves Of Dobie Gillis on Nick At Nite ,or this 1988 reunion TV movie.
The show was about a teenager named Dobie, who was constantly chasing girls who were out of his league, along with his beatnik sidekick ,Maynard .
All the while , the girl who most avoided , chased him , much to his annoyance .
The show actually spawned a few icons including Warren Beatty, Tuesday Weld, and Bob Denver, who would go on to play the title character in another iconic tv show Gilligan's Island.
Dobie was played by the late Dwayne Hickman, in his most iconic role .

I've no idea what this movie might be about, but as a non English speaking person I still just love all the posters/pictures AND your text here presenting this film.
This film is an eternal rewatchable classic, and an excellent Hitchcock flick over all. And as it happend I just watched a documentary about Grace Kelly the other day. I mean I already knew most of her story but it gets me me every time. Damn, grabbing an Oscar while stlll being a snotty kid (in like her mid 20s), and then deciding to leave her promising future as a movie star, maybe having decades of promising film projects in front of her, just to be locked up in some bloody palace as a trophy wife in that little pretend country.
I just learned that the dude she married (Rainier) was only six years older. Well, he looked liked twenty years older, kinda like me lol. Sorry for going of topic here, but Grace Kelly's story always gets me for various reasons.
