8/10 - Underrated Coppola movie and underrated Bridges performance.
Being aware of the story of the Tucker cars (which got famous for focusing on safety), I was ridiculously curious when this film came out. And safe to say (pun maybe intended), I still love to rewatch this flick over and over. Tucker as the little guy taking on the big US Detroit car industry made him such a hero to me, regardless various troubles all through the end. Bridges and my idol watching Space 1999 as a little kid - Martin effing Landau - are both awesome in this for me eternal feel good flick.

For some reason I've never got around to see this even though being aware of it's praise. When it suddenly came up on the telly I of course had to watch it, even though I missed the first 20 mins or so. As expected I highly enjoyed this. A both heart warming and pure comedic story despite the pitch black historical backround we're all aware of.

Great acting over all: The main kid character, Thomasin McKenzie (totally brilliant here) and Scarlett all shine. And Watiti is course very entertaining as the "silly Hitler" the boy imagine as his pretend friend. Some fun/good performances from Sam Rockwell (loved his moment at the end), Rebel Wilson and Stephen Merchant as well. This is the Watiti I want to se more of: Big heart with the perfect balance of maybe just a slight sentimentality, perfect level of humour (highly enjoyed Thor: Ragnarök, but couldn't care less for/was mostly annoyed by Love and Thunder despite production value, some acting etc.) This was over all an excellent and rewatchable flick with a great heart. IMHO that is of course.

A fun documentary about the, err.. "curiosity" called Star Wars: Holiday Special which came out in 1978. I remember as a snotty kid when this thing was aired over here, and then thinking: "Some kinda Star Wars film suprisingly turning up on the television for free?! Yay, yay, yay !! And yay !!"

Afterwards I was like: What. The. Hell. Did. I. Just. Watch..?

Anyhows, I highly recommend this docu. And despite the over all weirdness/crappiness, I'll always side with the team that love the animated section about Bobba Fett (like they say in the docu, the first time he's actually awesome).

Our friend @Breogan has an awesome thread about celebrating Happy Life Day, in which Holiday Special is crucial (for good or worse). Check that out, your life will never be the same afterwards, I promise:

A great character drama that suddenly turns into a apocalyptic thriller (whatever that really means, just came up with it lol). Ali, Hawke and Roberts (trying to remember the last time I was as impressed with her as here) are all so effing damn good. Having seen the trailer, the scene with all those similar white cars piling up made me laugh out loud when watching the film and learning about them, heh. I understand why the ending is considered divisive. For me it was kinda fine though, felt like we had something like that coming.
